My first repair works for bathroom

This is taken in the evening of 7 May 2022. Where I continue cleaning up existing grout in between tiles line of my upper floor bathroom.

The look of used tools. I upgrade to electric tool after experiencing aching hands and body. From earlier last 4 May 2022 of manual grout removal using only scraper and brute force.

The sketch of my grout removing process. I use apps Samsung notes in my Samsung A11 phone. Quite handy to make note of my work progress after the work is done for the day.

Around 2 cm deep. 

Even after upgrading to electric tool, I can still feel slight ache on my hands. But way less (less than 70%) compared to manual brute force work. No wonder bathroom repair works is not cheap. 

As even clean up process before grout removing work is not easy. Which I spend 3 hours to scrub clean the grout in between tiles line. Since I am using hot water, soap and vinegar. I try my best to refrain from using other strong cleaner. As I am doing the work alone. To prevent from passing out inhaling toxic fume while using strong cleaner. 

Even need to use protective safety gear when using electric tool to clean up the grout in between tiles line. Such as safety google, gloves, working attire, dust mask. As I also need to be steady in my hands. So that will reduce from scratch the existing tiles and chipped tiles edges.

I do clean up all the dust from grout removal works with vacuum cleaner. And store away all the used tools after usage. 

If you have extra money to spare, it is advisable to hire professional. Since it consume a lot of time, energy, money and tools. Need to also consider all the body aching all over after doing repair works. It is also a type of specialised work that need good skills and experience for faster completion. As I myself unable to complete grout removal works within 3 days. Since I do myself, I only focused on removing cracked grout and grout with holes. I leave the rest in peace. And I also leave existing tiles as it is.

I do spend more than 2 weeks to study before start with grout removing process. While juggling with my other current work and task. I also have to make sure to well documented the work process. So that it can be referred to when needed later.
