How to help seller to suggest a perfume for you

Certain people when asked perfume seller, that person will ask for perfume that smell soft and fragrant. However, the seller would suggest perfume that the people think too citrus and floral smell. This is what happen you are not specific with your request. Do not be stingy with information if you do not want end up with perfume that you do not like at all.
My opinion, you need to help to narrow down your question. For example, notes in the perfume that you like. As for me, vanilla :> Then it is easier for the seller to help suggest for you.
Or, you can also help by telling the seller type of perfume that you like or previously used in order to help the seller to suggest the correct perfume near to your preference.
Same goes like selecting pattern for your "baju raya". Floral is too general[-X It could mean large flower pattern, when actually you like small flower pattern.
That is the power of knowing specifically what you want. We engineer were trained to be precise and specific. That is what I try to implement in my daily life. Like my perfume selection itself ;)
Till then, have a good perfume selecting/hunting ahead.

Cluster house in Setia Tropika, Model: Cycas starting price near 1 million ringgit

I saw the advertisement of this house last week while driving to pass Kempas area. What caught my eyes is the price of the house. The starting price is RM 983, 836.00. Wow!! More than double of my cluster house price which I bought in Taman Pulai Hijauan in July 2013. The type and size of the house is the same to mine.

Location =  Setia Tropika
Type = cluster house.
Size = 35 " x 70 ".
Built up = 2,615 sq ft.
Details on the house can be found in this link http://www.setiatropika.com.my/features.asp

The news on this cluster house is in thestar dated 2 September 2015
http://www.thestar.com.my/metro/community/2015/09/02/conducive-living-in-cluster-homes-developer-wooing-locals-with-attractive-packages-for-new-developme/

For me, you can wait as long as you want from buying a property. Or can also wait for the price to drop, which this I would doubt much. Regardless what, the property price would not wait for you at all. Therefore, buy while you still can.
But my advise would be, join our property seminar first before buying blindly. As I have experience and meet too many people where they have to fork up too much money to buy their property. Where I only pay less than 10% for my down payment for my house. This is because they do not have the correct step, method and strategy.
Till then, have a good investment research ahead.

What inside my daily make up bag?

I have tried various type of bags to accommodate my make up gear for daily usage. And I do find the larger bag are just nice to pack on all of them. However, a large bag and complete set of make up is not suitable for daily usage since I am moving around while working. Yet I still need them to get a fresher looks through out the day.
Therefore, I have come out with a wish list criteria for my daily make up bag.

Criteria for my make up bag:
1) Need to have compartments especially to individually slot in make up brushes
As I do found that the current make up size of make up bag in the market doesn't have make up brush compartment. If it have, then the accessories compartment will be smaller. I end up to have extra bag for the make up brush in my larger make up bag.
2) Size.
Should not be bigger than iPad or A4 wide. Need be able to accommodate at least 1 blush, 1 mascara, 1 sharpener, 1 compact powder, 1 foundation/BB cream bottle, and etc..
3) Material.
Should be at least waterproof. Makes it easy to clean for spill. More hygiene
Hard case = better. As it would be heat proof especially when traveling.
4) Colour.
I have to opt for black or dark colour. Less stained looks. Yet look formal in case need to bring it along into meeting room (as afraid my make up will be spoiled if leave in heated car while traveling).

Above is the current make up bag that I am using for daily and travel.
A] The size is :
      1) Length = 210 mm
      2) Height = 160 mm
      3) Depth = 80 mm
B] Material = nylon
C] Colour = Burgundy

What I like about this bag is, it have compartment for me to slot in make up brush. As I normally need to put my make up brush in additional bag in order to keep them safe from harm being tossed unprotected in the midst of my make up gear.
But still, this design have plenty of flaw that didn't satisfy my ideal make up bag criteria. Seems like I need to design my own in order to satisfy my needs.
If you like this kind of bag to kept your daily make up, can pre order from me with price RM 40 (actual RM 45) excluding postage.
Till then, have a good day.

Current development progress in the township Taman Pulai Hijauan, Johor

This is taken first week of April 2016.
This shows how much the progress development work near township Taman Pulai Hijauan.
The land already cleared from palm trees near entrance of Taman Pulai Indah till Taman Pulai Hijauan.
Last time, the township was like pop up suddenly in the middle of palm trees plantation.
Hopefully by the time the main road become dual carriageway, the property price will go higher than the current market price ;)

The shop lots clearly seen from traffic light Pulai Indah

The first phase of township Pulai Hijauan could be seen after the land cleared

The whole township is clearly in sight

The main road in the midst of upgraded to 2 lane

The entrance to Pulai Hijauan

On the left is development of cluster in fifth phase stage

On the left is the completed cluster second phase which have been occupied. The one I bought last June 2013.
On the right is the third phase that just completed the road  in the housing area last week.
Those who are being skeptical to buy the house in this area will definitely regretting it. As the future development around the area as per information that I have obtained, cannot get house size that I manage to buy in year 2013.
Till then, have a good window shopping on property this weekend.

Benefits of bringing my own USB extension daily

1. The normal condition of only 1 power socket per place
2. The power socket is located higher up. Sometimes same height with my head
3. The power socket located far from the dedicated desk

The features of the normal USB extension that I bring daily:
1. Cable length 3 meter
2. Have 4 power socket and 2 USB port
3. Have surge protector
Benefit of having this is it helps to avoid from getting power spike.
I have happen to use my USB extension for microwave and electric kettle at the same time. And the button of surge protector pop on as the heavy electrical load is switched on. I was devastated at first as I thought my USB extension gone since it is not working at all after that. Fortunately I notice the surge protector switch is on. When I off it, the USB extension works perfectly. It was really a life saver and cost saving. Worth my RM 60 for buying it.

Using my 5 port USB socket with my USB Extension

The length were just nice for the USB extension. And good enough to be used with my electric lunchbox

See how high the power socket is
Solution for the above wall socket.
Using my creativity by combining my handbag hook and my 5 port USB charger during UTM blackout end of March 16. Would be much easier if I already own the USB extension that time
The socket still far from bed

My 3 meter USB extension just nice to be used in UMP library, Pekan campus. Only have 1 power socket per pillar/location. This type of length can also be used when you're going for conference or seminar where the power socket would be located far away from seat
Would be nice to use USB extension than just a USB charger like this type. As I need min 2 power socket to power up my laptop and 1 to be spared for my companion. Where one of my friend bought this type that have 6 port USB with price RM 120 early this year. Which makes worth more to buy my USB extension.
If you are interested to buy the USB extension, can contact me for quotation.
Till then, have a good day charging your USB devices.

Cyber Security Workshop in Eastin Hotel by Siemens Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

It has been almost 5 years since I leave Siemens. And this week I manage to attend their workshop on Cyber Security in Eastin Hotel.
During the Q&A Session
It was a fulfilling workshop with plenty of new information especially for power plant area. My team were the only one from university while the rest of attendees were from various power plant customer and end user. It was an honor to attend the talk when saw the full crowd in the room.

I manage to get invitation for the talk as I still keeping in touch with my ex-Manager since my Supervisor needs input for his research from PLC provider. That is called good networking and constant communication. Plus since I leave my position with good reputation. That is called good impression;)

The focus of the workshop is actually to give awareness to the user of Siemens DCS (Distributed Control System) on the importance to have defense from cyber attack as the attack could also comes from inside. Within the I & C (Instrumentation and Control) Systems. Where it actually serves as "central nervous system" in the power plant. Especially when nowadays too many attack goes to nuclear power plant.
Me with the speaker, Mr Goldmann Christian from Siemens AG
Me with Suzi, the girl who replace me when I resign from Siemens

I was also given few questions from the attended personnel from TNB. Where they asked why do I leave my position since Siemens give good perks and benefits. Which I did found the question is interesting. I will answer the questions in my other entry and link it here later.

Healthy cooked Black Pomfret (bawal hitam) steam limau style in faculty

Since I was in detoxing process from seawater consumption, I have decided to cook a healthy meal for Sunday lunch.
I have to cook in the faculty as I am having 9 am discussion with my lab-mate.

Breakfast of milo with goat milk

Setup for cooking since I can't cook in the pantry as it is going to be used for discussion. The black pomfret (ikan bawal hitam) already gutted and de-scale. I am using Gred A Black Pomfret for the dish. Buy fresh ones in Mersing. RM 25 per kg = 2 fish.

Close up on the used ingredients

Delicately cutting the onions. I am using lots of garlic and ginger for this dish

Posing for the photographer

Focus as need to finish cooking by 1 pm for lunch

The almost cooked Black Pomfret. In the process of turning side of the fish for last touch up

The cooked meal for the day
Conclusion. The recipe and the preparation is easy. I start cooking 11 am and finish by 12.54 pm. I gut and clean the fish within the duration. Now feel like can join cooking with Iron Chef. I love the Blue Iron Chef. As he is so calm during the contest.

Update on 2 June 2024:
I am wondering where is my energy, drive and enthusiasm has gone. Since nowadays it takes me longer even to complete a simple task. Aging seems does not works well for me.
Till then, have a good day ahead.

Effect drinking seawater for 5 days straight

I am in Pahang from this Monday to be ready for my Master progress presentation on Tuesday morning. I am already unwell due to fatigue. And get mc from doctor after my presentation finish around 10 am. I did notice the water taste funny. But ignore it since thought due to my sore throat effect. Then, I happen to know that actually the water here contains seawater on Thursday. When I am buying breakfast in Mechanical Faculty told by the cafe owner. No wonder I feel very flat out even after consume medicine prescribe by doctor. Cause I have been drinking seawater for the past 5 days. There are also no announcement at all about this matter in the campus itself.

Plus, one of my colleague do feel strained tendon in waist area in the afternoon of Friday. Where my colleague just reach Pekan night of Thursday. And my colleague have stone kidney history some more. That shows how bad the effect is differently in every person. Try to imagine what would happen to those who are already in dialysis stage. Or to those who are pregnant. What could happen to the kidney of the unborn/fetus.

Last night, I am already experiencing nausea, dizziness and cramp.

Below is the list of symtomps when you consume seawater.
1) from http://science.howstuffworks.com/science-vs-myth/what-if/what-if-you-drink-saltwater1.htm

If you're consuming seawater, the results of osmosis are spectacularly disastrous. Remember the salinity of seawater is almost four times that of our bodily fluids. If gone unchecked, the net transfer of water from the inside of your cells to the outside will cause the cells to shrink considerably -- and shrinkage is never good.
The body tries to compensate for fluid loss by increasing the heart rate and constricting blood vessels to maintain blood pressure and flow to vital organs. You're also most likely to feel nausea, weakness and even delirium. As you become more dehydrated, the coping mechanism fails. If you still don't drink any water to reverse the effects of excess sodium, the brain and other organs receive less blood, leading to coma, organ failure and eventually death.

2) from http://www.livestrong.com/article/156036-what-are-the-side-effects-of-drinking-sea-water/

Drinking saltwater will cause a number of early side effects as you get dehydrated. Dry mouth and rapid heartbeat are followed by low blood pressure, headaches and dizziness. Lethargy and confusion will eventually start to set in. Depending on how much sea water you had to drink and whether you’re now drinking fresh water to eliminate the effects, you can also experience blood in the stool or vomit, loss of appetite and unconsciousness,

3) http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/dangerous-consume-much-salt-water-11580.html

Studies show that consuming too much salt causes your body to expel more calcium through urine, according to the Linus Pauling Institute. Your bones need this calcium, and thus may become weaker over time. You may become more vulnerable to osteoporosis, a condition in which bones grow brittle and more prone to fracture. Increased urinary calcium may also lead to kidney stones, a condition in which hard calcium masses form in the kidneys. When these stones get stuck in the urinary tract, they can cause bleeding and severe pain, and may block the flow of urine.

Basically, I could die in my trip here this time. My condition would be worse if I do not know about this from the cafe owner. I experiencing dizziness as I fell part of my eyes to top of my teeth like in vibrating motion. I have consume Misai Kucing tea last night and lots of mineral water. Now feel slightly better.
My friend do nag me for not drinking mineral water. Well, being frugal. I normally just boil water directly from tap water for fast drink access.
And try to imagine if there is a bauxite trace in the water that consist of seawater. Man, that would be really bad.

What I am really regret is no announcement at all regarding this matter. Only this kind of announcement were put in the UMP hostel facebook. And why the authority been keeping this quite when it is a serious issue that involve matter of life and death.

Moral of the story, do be alert with your surrounding. Make sure of it although you are having sore throat. Never ever assume. Cause it will definitely causing your life at stake.

Gardening, my new routine in daily life

I started to seriously with gardening since early 2016. Ever since involve in fb group: Kebun Bandar: Jom Taman Sendiri.

Now I normally wake up by 5 am daily. And immediately go downstairs to attend my cats and plants after Subuh prayer. Normally I finish everything by 8 am.

My daily gardening routine:
1. Loosen the soil of pots
2. Put the food waste from cats into the pots
3. Watering the plants using my small sprinkler head
Filling in the recycle bottle

The bottle filled with water that being used earlier to store plant overnight before planting them in pots in the morning

I know it is lots of work. But now I don't use excuse not to do it. Plus, it is fulfilling to see the cats and plants grow happily.
Although the soil at the side of my house is full of stones, I used poly bag and pots to plants what I want. I do with effort, no longer with excuse.
Till then, have a good happy green day.
