Natural weed control in my house

I use scythe to cut the weeds in my house compound. Instead of hire people to cut it off. Yes, it is a slow work pace to clean the area and time consuming. But,  I took it as part of exercise.

However, do remember to put a working gear while working. Such as working glove. In order to protect your hand from blister. A long sleeve tshirt to protect your arm from scratches of the weed or etc. A long pants and working boots to protect your feet from scratches and bites. Better safe than sorry. Plus, covering your skin also helps from extra sunshine on your delicate skin😆

I normally make sure my cats to be around while I am doing the weed cleaning work. For them to look out for me. And to accompany me and play with me during my break😅

By cleaning the weed myself, I could select part that I need to cut. Since few of the wild plants that grow themselves is good for traditional medical usage. Sometimes there are fruit plants grow from birds drops. At this moment, there are gooseberry plant that grow healthy in my compound. Where it has good traditional medical value and also could serve as good topping in cakes or as jam.

I can't use weed killer since my cats always play around the house compound during their cage cleaning time. My cats also love to munch on few grass that grow there. Where sometimes I do cut the grass and put in the cat cage for them to nibble on it each time they're not out from the cage.

I also wanted organic output from the plants that I grow in order to have a better lifestyle. Every now and then I could just pluck, wash and directly eat the leaves of plants that I grow without worries.

I do leave some of the weed grow on as they help to break and fertilized the ground. As the ground in my house compound compose pretty much stone in it. Which makes my hand ache a lot each time the shovel hit on the stone in the ground.

My awareness on gardening for self consumption

When I am working in KL in 2010, I start to grow betel plant (pokok sirih) in a polybag. Which I normally give to one of the receptionist in my workplace since she is using it.

Now I am targeting to have an output from my garden that could sustain me and my cats daily consumption. Since I have land size 10 feet in my house compound. Nowadays I am taking care of 10 cats and it is much cheaper to grow all ingredients at home. This could reduce cost and time to prepare the food. Where I do find it is time consuming to just to go out to buy the ingredients since my current house is around 5 km from the nearest mart.

There are few vegetables than can be consumed directly without need to cook. Such as Centella Asiatica (pokok pegaga), Winged Bean (pokok kacang botol) and etc. This would come in handy at time when I am in time constraint or sick.
I also prefer to use organic fertilizer than chemical for the vegetables. Since I grow them myself.

At this moment, everything is unorganized since it is still in arrangement process.
Hopefully I could finish my small garden in more organized condition before end year 2016.

My travel make up bag for work and formal event

I am using different make up bag when going travel for my work and event.  Where the make up bag has to be a complete set. Since sometimes there are dinner or other event during the travel trip. Which I need to be at my best look since meeting plenty people.

I tend to chose fresh look till the day ends when going for formal event. Since normally I will have multiple meetings till end of the day. Since I do find it is much easier to put on back make up each time after prayer when using fresh look theme.

Below is my look with make up for travel work in early June 16.

The original state of my make up bag on the right. The left ones is the previous that I always bring. Just that the colour too outstanding  and informal to bring in for meeting or presentation. You could see the difference after I put all my make up in the bag.

The previous pink make up bag is from Victoria Secret. Think I bought it around RM 120 last time in Victoria Secret outlet, Johor Premium Outlet (JPO), Kulai. The only flaw for this pink make up brush is it does not have compartment for brushes. Therefore, I used to stuffed my brush in the bottom bag. Which sometimes makes my brush bristle tangle in between them = this situation makes me disappointed 😞

Although there are many type of make up bags in the market. I do love this black make up bag more since it have separated compartment. This bag also have slot or compartments for make up brush. Therefore, I am at ease when put my brushes inside the bag. Due to its sturdy design, the bag also provide better security for all my make up stuff especially my compact powder and blusher. The bag also comes with detachable compartment or separator which is bonus for me. As it helps me to pack in more organized manner. I can even put my make up light with powerbank inside the bag. Smaller make up bag would not be sufficient enough for my travel needs [1].

I do find the bag easily to bring in meeting and presentations. Since it looks formal with black color and simple design.

I do think this bag is nice to bring around even in festive season like Aidil Fitri. Suitable also for personal or even for Make Up Artist (MUA) to use.

For those who are interested to learn basic make up for daily usage, I am in process to finalize my class syllabus. As I have mastered 5 minutes make up look for daily usage. Which I find handy since I normally need to rush in the morning as I tend to finish all my errands and work late in the morning.

Why to have own house is important for me?

I come across this blog (http://www.iiumc.com/mertua-adik-beradik-ipar-melampau/) in facebook last week. You can read it yourself. For me, it does really reflect the current trend. My synopsis for the reason of the story: they are not living on their own.
Where the husband family meddle with their life since they stay with the husband family. Until it not end well for the writer.

I cannot sympathize much on the writer. As for me personally, they need stay in their own house after marriage. That is the definition of marriage I have in mind. In order to be independent. In my opinion, the writer late in taking action. Until the condition already beyond control. They should be firm to live by themselves in the early stage. In order to learn be independent.

In my opinion, you are the one who should take the course of your life. Therefore, owning a house would give the practice of independent live. Not necessarily to wait till you get married. Even for woman. Where the typical concept is to wait for husband to buy a house. A normal concept that being implied in the society nowadays. Which is why I bought my own house. As I am trying my best to be independent. Where it not as easy as being planned and calculated. Still, I tried my best.

Same concept for marriage that I personally think should be. People should buy a house before married. Then the groom have place to station the bride. Where the ideal place I have in mind should be in his own house. Even for woman or bride-to-be. This kind of mind set makes most people think I am having high expectations. Well, I need to planned well. Since I really need to have my own house that enable me to park my car at ease and safely. Regardless my car is not brand new. As safety is priority for engineer like me. That is why I choose to get gated guarded housing area.

Regardless how long you stay with your family, you won't be able to save much until you pay for your own house. A lesson I learn fortunately fast. Well, I still have a long way to learn. Although I have need to plenty of class and seminar. Yet, you can learn in our property seminar. Which I will update the date later.

My perfume preference during Ramadhan

I do found that I am unable to withstand too strong smell perfume during Ramadhan. Such as notes like fresh, floral, sweet or even gourmand. Although the sweet and gourmand is my favorite notes. Especially vanilla. As sweet and gourmand notes makes me feel hungry faster.

But for sure for this Ramadhan, notes that I am able to handle would be; fruity sour, spicy, woodsy, flower (that give woodsy vibe) and oriental smell. Since one of my girlfriend asking for opinion, below is what I think suits the most with description in my mind.

Some of the notes I love to smell or can take it:
- Spicy (or I like to call it fruity sour): pink pepper. In perfume like Black XS, Tresor.
- Flower (which I like more towards woodsy. Or I like to call dark smell): black orchid, orchid. In perfume like Euphoria, Hypnose and Seduction Dark Orchid.

Another option is to use fruity body mist. These are good choice for me who stay in Malaysia who have equatorial climate. Which means hot and humid through out the year. For example: Body mist such as Fabulous from Victoria Secret; Sweet and Flirty from Victoria Secret.

Other option is to use your current perfume collection in a dabbing style. I personally decant my potent smelling ones in a roll-on bottle. And then just dab it on my pulse, my neck and places I like to be. This is because I do find that the perfume scent strength will be monstrous since I am unable to control the spray strength.

However for those who unable to withstand any sprayed perfume, you could opt for scented lotion. I prefer to just dab on my pulse. No need to slather all over my hand. Still, it is based on personal preference. And the above is based on my preference.

The advantage of not panic when in distress

I happen to fall into a drain last 8 May 2016. Where the depth is as high as my ears when I stand in it. Fortunately the drain were slightly dry at that time. It happen around 8 pm while I was going to get my dinner with a friend.

We saw a fluffy cat at the side of the road, near the hostel area. I went to chase the cat and leave my handbag and phone in the car. The area were dark since the streetlight which are 4 of them, all were not functional. Basically a 3 quarter darkness that time. I was about to step over the drain, which I have scan it in a glance. Then, I suddenly fall into the drain. I was shocked that time. Since I was in disbelieve I could fall into the drain after my analysis. It happens that the drain were wider than normal drain in the faculty. My friend happens to shout asking me to just leave the cat and go. But I was too busy thinking and analyzing of ways to get out from the deep drain. Then, I get an idea.

I use the technique as illustrated on the right part to climb out from the drain. Which my friend say I was like a stunt woman by doing so. Well, I prefer being a female McGyver than stunt woman

By the time I manage to sit at the side of the drain, my friend is able to see me after drove in the area. Basically my friend won't be able to lift me out from the drain since it is deep and I am very heavy. Which I could end up staying in the drain much longer and my energy will be drained that time. After I manage to sit in the car, we go straight to have our dinner. And afterwards, I went to KL that very night since I have presentation early in the morning.

Part that being affected during the fall:

a) The corner of the drain hit my right pubic bone area. Basically the area above pubic hair and also femur (thigh bone) area. That part have bruises almost 3 weeks. Could refer the below image that being highlighted in red circle.

b) deep scratches in left Gastrocnemius area and my left knee

I finally went to see doctor by 4.30 pm after finish the work in Putrajaya on 9 May 2016. The nurse and doctor in Klinik Kesihatan Putrajaya were all puzzled when I told them I fall into drain in UTM JB last night. And seek treatment there. Which is far away and it is not my home town. I again explained to them I am in Putrajaya for work.

The doctor diagnose I have no fracture since I can walk on my own. Well, I can't make a joke that I need to walk since I have no wheelchair. Since I won't have the strength to pull on my pants if I laugh. However doctor urge me to do x-ray in order to be safe. I was given pain killer and iodine for the scratches.

I manage to went do x-ray on 11 May 2016 in Pusat Kesihatan Taman Universiti, Skudai. The doctor suspected I bump on my coccyx area. But I do tell them, my coccyx where not injured during the fall. The doctors were like stupefied when I did explain well on my coccyx. Well, I do have biology background. And did once being an extremely skinny person which my coccyx suffer a lot when sit in a long duration.

Fortunately, no fracture at all. Still, I took 2 weeks to recover from the scratches. And additional 2 week for the bruises in the pubic bone area.

I am really glad that the toilet in my house were seated ones. And at that time, I really wanted to have a lift in the house. As my left knee make loud sound each time I climb up to my room.

Moral of the story, refrain yourself from doing or chasing things in dark environment. Make sure to avoid at any cost. And please refrain from do any work in order to have faster recovery process. And last but not least, staying calm and fast analytical thinking would help a lot than panic or wait for help

My review on perfume James Bond 007 for Women

I have been asked to give review on this perfume. Since I have the opportunity to test it out.

My review:
The perfume is very light and low sillage. Low lasting power. Since I have tried it right before I went to sleep. Need to re-apply minimum 2 times for day usage.
The vanilla were not prominent. For me, I get a dry down where somehow it leaves a sting unpleasant smell for me. Maybe due to the blackberry. As I experience the same when using Victoria's Secret Pink Fruity and Bright (notes: blackberry, vanilla) body mist that have been discontinued.
I have tried it the next day in order to hope for it to grow on me. But, it just fail to do so. Maybe my chemistry just not working for the perfume that time.
It does not leave an impression for me.
However, I do find the perfume is not offensive. Which is a safe to use when you are working in a close proximity with other people. Where I do think it is suitable for office wear.

Perfume note for James Bond 007 for woman:
Top note: bergamot, black pepper, rose milk
Heart: gardenia, jasmine, blackberry
Base: white must, black vanilla, cedar wood

How to help seller to suggest a perfume for you

Certain people when asked perfume seller, that person will ask for perfume that smell soft and fragrant. However, the seller would suggest perfume that the people think too citrus and floral smell. This is what happen you are not specific with your request. Do not be stingy with information if you do not want end up with perfume that you do not like at all.
My opinion, you need to help to narrow down your question. For example, notes in the perfume that you like. As for me, vanilla Then it is easier for the seller to help suggest for you.
Or, you can also help by telling the seller type of perfume that you like or previously used in order to help the seller to suggest the correct perfume near to your preference.
Same goes like selecting pattern for your "baju raya". Floral is too general It could mean large flower pattern, when actually you like small flower pattern.
That is the power of knowing specifically what you want. We engineer were trained to be precise and specific. That is what I try to implement in my daily life. Like my perfume selection itself

Cluster house in Setia Tropika, Model: Cycas starting price near 1 million ringgit

I saw the advertisement of this house last week while driving to pass Kempas area. What caught my eyes is the price of the house. The starting price is RM 983, 836.00. Wow!! More than double of my cluster house price which I bought in Taman Pulai Hijauan in July 2013. The type and size of the house is the same to mine.

For me, you can wait as long as you want from buying a property. Or can also wait for the price to drop, which this I would doubt much. Regardless what, the property price would not wait for you at all. Therefore, buy while you still can.
But my advise would be, join our property seminar first before buying blindly. As I have experience and meet too many people where they have to fork up too much money to buy their property. Where I only pay less than 10% for my down payment for my house. This is because they do not have the correct step, method and strategy.
