Last pruning of my mango tree

This is taken on the evening of 29 February 2024. Continuition of pruning process to my mango tree. After managed to prune around 5 branches last evening of 28 February 2024 [1]. Need to do it while the weather is good.

Notice 1 of the pruned branch have 2 stalks of flower buds. Would not know if did not do pruning process.

Got total 13 new branches. After pruning session of 3 branches last December 2023. The flower buds is from this branch.

The pruned branch is almost 16 feet long. Would not notice if I did not take this picture.

Last year, the mango tree started to bear flower buds April 2023. Seems this year it started earlier. I already questioning when my mango tree will start bearing flower buds. As neighboring mango trees in the residential area already starting bearing flower buds since January 2024. Maybe I need to prune the branches each time it is finished harvested.

Now left to feed the mango tree with regular fertilizer. For it to start bear flower buds for this year.

Harvesting my pisang emas (banana) fruits

It was harvested on the morning of 26 February 2024. 4 unit already eaten by the birds.

The look of fully yellow pisang emas (banana) fruits on the morning of 29 February 2024. It taste sweeter and tastier than yesterday.

Pruning branches to my mango tree

This is taken on the evening of 28 February 2024. Where I managed to get experienced assistance in pruning branches to my mango tree.

I prefer to do the pruning myself. As I wanted to learn the best way to prune the tree. Especially to know the right and correct pruning angle, height and etc. Hopefully will be able to optimize incoming fruit yield for the mango tree.

Last year the tree started to bear flowers on April 2023. That is why I try to prune the branches in stages from now. I do love the used saw attachment to my extended pole. It really worth money invested for it.

Experience assistance is needed in order to be more strategic in pruning process and also to optimize time. Able to finished pruning 5 branches within 30 minutes time. When work in a team of 2 person. Quite an achievement for me.

Last mango fruit from last fruiting season 2023. It weigh 115.4 gm. Smallest one so far. But it is looking good. No crack. Despite the stained on the skin from the tree saps.

Post mortem on the pruning process:

- need to inform your neighbor so that they can park their car further away from pruning area. To avoid the pruned branches fall and hit their car

- need to drag away the fallen branch immediately to clear the road for other road user like car and motorcycle

- best to wear safety google. As the fallen debris from the sawed branches might get into your eyes. Especially when strong wind blows during the pruning process 

- need to know right angle for pruning. So that will get more sunlight to the bottom leaves. This is where experienced assistance is crucial

- need to have a good dry and sunny day. For better view and work.

- to get assistance. So that can swap when tired in pruning process. Better decision making for pruning angle and height. Faster cleanup time. And cutting down the branches to smaller parts. As it will be harder (more effort and force) to cut when it is dried up later

The self pruning process requires lots of effort, time, focus and energy. But I need to make sure to learn it for hands on experience,  better documentation and further experiments.

Able to take picture of this pruned branch. Where it has 9 new branches. After trim 2 branches earlier on December 2023. This only able to get this information when I do the cleanup myself.

Activities done on the evening of 21 November 2023

This is done on the evening of 21 November 2023. Where I get to harvest 2 more Harum Manis mango fruits.

Then move 2 pack of 20 kg fertilizer.

Have to self collect the 2 packs of 20 kg fertilizer from my house gate. Which I take one pack at a time. And use my 10 steps ladder to take it. It is not easy. However, it is needed to be done.

My fragrant orange jasmine flowers

This is taken on the morning of 26 February 2024. After a break from watering plants. I sit at the side of the house. Then able to notice a fragrant smell. Upon checking the surrounding, I found my orange jasmine bearing flowers 

It smells lovely. Just that the flower petals quite delicate. And fast fallen out upon plucking. But if I keep it inside a container and leave it on top floor hall. It is able to make the area flagrant for almost 3 days.

Harvesting kelapa pandan (coconut) fruits

This is taken on the evening of 26 February 2024. Able to harvest 5 kelapa pandan (coconut) fruits. 

Still have balance 10 of them on the stalk.

Have taken 2 last week. Basically that stalk have total of 19 kelapa pandan (coconut) fruits.

Need to think new way to safely harvest the kelapa pandan (coconut) fruits. As it is already become too high up on its tree. Almost at the edge of the used 10 steps ladder harvesting it now.

Finding qiblah direction when using public prayer room

This is taken last noon of 28 October 2023. Where I am using the public prayer room in Petronas station near Pasar Taman Universiti. The prayer room did not have qiblah direction. So I end up having to use apps in my phone to get the qiblah direction.

My microSD card left 3.9% after 9 months and 28 days of usage

This is taken last 27 July 2023. Where I notice that my microSD card left 5 GB plus from 128 GB capacity. 

Review in using 890 ml thermos mug

This is taken on the morning of 20 September 2023.

It comes with a straw. However, will not able to close lid after insert the straw. So, will need 1 dedicated bag to store the straw for daily usage.
