Details on type of brushes in my custom 14 pieces Sigma make up brush set.

I order my 14 pieces of custom Sigma make up brush set and received it last 27 February 2019 [1].

My eyebrow brush from Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) no 7

I have tried various types of eyebrow brushes. This eyebrow brush from Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) no 7 among top 5 in my list [1]. Especially for travel and daily commute usage. 

It is around 7 cm long. Dual ended with spoolie at the other end. Slanted but not too thin. Just nice to be use with eyebrow powder.

My additional eye brushes for my eye look.

I received safely my 2 set of eye brushes in the morning of 16 December 2019.

All the above is to assist me to blend my eyeshadows better than now.

My opinion on investing for a good make up brushes.

Why I am willing to invest for a good make up brushes :

1) able to get and pull off good make up look

2) even and smooth make up application

3) more hygiene. As able to reduce my hand usage. 

I  am able to see improvement to my make up application after investing in Real Technique (RT) make up brushes in February 2014 [1]. This is after almost 7 years venturing in make up application world. I do start receiving compliment after using them in daily basis. Where I myself able to see improvement of my make up application. As it have become much smoother, well blended. Since then, there is no turning back for me. It even urges and inspired me to learn more about make up brushes.

My preference in investing in make up tools than cosmetics.

I am the person that prefer to invest more in make up tools than cosmetics. That is why I have lots of make up brushes. I simply prefer to focus in my make up application skills than trying out new cosmetics. As make up tools and brushes has no expiry date compare to cosmetics. Plus, I have experimenting with various make up brushes. I do able to see the difference despite using same cosmetics and same application technique with different set of make up brushes. I am also able to have supplies of clean make up brushes every week. One of my way to keep my skin clear from breakout or infection. Better  safe than sorry.

I manage to wash off my used make up brushes for last week in the morning of 14 April 2019. Which is before I take out and use new clean brush for this morning.

I put the folded silicone mat under the brushes so that the bristle will be slanted almost 30 degree. In order to ensure the water not seeping into the ferrule of the brush.

My review on Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) No 12 large synthetic duo brow brush

For me, Anastasia Beverly Hills  (ABH) really live up their reputation on eyebrow brush.

I do feel it is much easier for me to draw and fill my eyebrows with Anastasia Beverly Hills  (ABH) No 12. I just happen to start using it last 28 January 2018 [2].
Previously I am using 2 of my favourite eyebrows brush. Which is:

1. Zoeva 317 Winged Liner brush [3]. I have been using them since 2014. 
2. MAC 263SE brush [4]. Been using it since November 2017 and loving it ever since. It did make me steer away from my Zoeva 317😅.

For now, I prefer my Anastasia Beverly Hills  (ABH) No 12. Since it comes with spoolie. Well, it does makes me omit the step to clean up my eyebrows after draw and define them. Especially when I am rushing and only have 15 to 30 minutes to spare for make up.
I have to make do with my limited time and be creative.

Unwrapping review of my custom Sigma and IT Cosmetics Live Beauty Fully brushes.

Manage to receive my custom Sigma and IT Cosmetics Live Beauty Fully brushes last 27 February 2019. After placing order last 12 February 2019 and make full payment last 25 February 2019. Both set of make up brushes are fully synthetic bristle. Which means it is good for foundation, cream blush and cream shading. Also suitable for my current sensitive skin.

My alternative and creative way to dry my make up brush faster.

I manage to deep clean my make up brushes last 8 February 2019 morning [1]. Then hang them on my brush rack [2]. Since I wanted to use it this Monday, I put extra effort my adding my turnable USB fan next to my brushes on my brush rack today.

I do rotate the drying rack manually each time I pass through the drying section.

The custom complete Morphe set consist of total 17 pieces of brush. There is 9 pieces of face brush and 8 pieces of eyes brush. 99% of these make up brushes is natural hair/bristle.

Unwrapping my Hakuho-do+Sephora pro brush collection.

I am so happy to received it last 31 January 2019. Before postal stop for Chinese New Year (CNY) break.
It is set of 6 pieces brush from Hakuho-do+Sephora pro collection. The bristles are very soft for applications. They also made from synthetic. Which make it suitable for both powder and cream products.
The set consist of:

My review on my custom IT Cosmetics from Airbrush collection.

It is 10 pieces of brush within this custom set of IT Cosmetics. It is from their Airbrush collection. I get free make up sponge brand SAB with this purchase. Bought it last 31 May 2018. Received it July 2018.

The 3 brushes I used this past week (from bottom up): 

• Airbrush Smoothing Foundation Brush #102 [2]. I used to apply my BB stick.
• Airbrush Essential Bronzer Brush #114 [3]. I used it to powder all over my face. The huge size make the work finish faster. Despite it function for bronzer application.
• Airbrush Powder Wand Brush #108 [4]. I used it to apply blush. Despite its function for powder application.

Deep cleaning my 17 pieces custom complete Morphe brush set today.

Just able to muster the energy to deep clean my custom complete set of 15 pieces Morphe make up brushes [1]. After received it last 17 January 2019.

Deep cleaning my make up brushes today with new scrubbing pad

I am using a new scrubbing pad which is made from silicone to wash out my make up brushes today.

This is the look after I coated the engravings on the brushes yesterday and my new scrubbing pad[1].

The scrubbing pad works well. Way  90% cheaper than 2x Sigma spa brush cleaning glove that worth USD 39, excluding shipping.

The scrubbing pad also enable me to squeeze the brushes using it. As normally I would need to use my bare hand to do such. That allowsy hand to stay dry along the cleaning process. 

Able to squeeze the brush after rinsing easily without need to take it off.

My review on Real Technique (RT) make up brushes.

I receive my purchase of the Real Technique (RT) make up brushes early February 2014. I decided to buy this brand after doing extensive study for good affordable brushes for beginner. Frankly speaking, these babies does worth every penny for me.
It is soft. Not even scathing my skin. 

My look after using such a good quality RT make up brushes. I personally think I look better than before.

Cleaning make up brush is a good habit for your skin

I have been disciplining myself in make it as a habit or routine to clean my make up brush every weekend. Or at least do the deep cleaning once per month (each time when I am too busy or lazy).

This is to maintain a good skin condition. As the longer you leave your make up brush unclean, higher probability for infection and breakout since dirty brush could harbor bad bacteria.

I am using a silicon mat as shown in picture below to scrub off my brush since it is faster than scrub them on my palm. Since the honeycomb hole on the silicon surface make a suitable scrubbing material. This silicon mat is cheaper alternative for me than Sigma spa products. And it still serve the same purpose. That is to assist in cleaning my make up brush.

As you could see in the picture, there are a white cup at the sink top. I put some virgin coconut oil in the cup since I left my dropper bottle in ground floor room. You could used any type of oil that you have with you. But it is better to use natural oil. I am using coconut oil since it helps to break down and loosen out the built up impurities or dirt on the brush such as foundation, concealer and etc. I just use around 2 to 3 drops of oil on the brush, depends on the level of impurities or dirt and brush size.

I am using a moisturizing body soap to clean the oily brush and scrub the brush off on the silicon mat. I use body soap since I found it good enough to clean my brush without drying it up.

I am unable to take picture of me scrubbing the impurities or dirt from the brush. Since it will be hazardous to my phone as I am doing the cleaning process in my bathroom. I will normally put all the cleaned brush in a plastic basket since the hole on the basket it will help good airflow that could assist in faster drying process.

In the midst of drying process. I just put in a basket since it have many holes that provide good airflow

It is a self achievement for me to clean up the brush each end of the week. It is not easy to have a clean and clear skin from breakouts. Lots of effort and discipline involves in the process and routine. I can't afford to skip any steps since it is much harder to restore the skin conditions after breakout.
