Special skill class of weaving ketupat skin with undergraduate students in lab

This is taken this morning. Where it was planned in the night before for session of special skill in weaving ketupat skin with undergraduate students in lab. Only one out of 4 undergraduate students know how to weave ketupat skin.

The look cooked ketupat hanged in creative way by the undergraduate students. Need hang the cooked ketupat to let the excess water drip away. So that it could last till next day consumption.

The look of the eaten cooked ketupat with chicken soup. Add sambal kicap (spicy soy sauce) for extra kick to the mix.

The initial look in the morning. Where my boss brings in the coconut leaves and 5 kg of rice pack specially chosen to make ketupat fillings.

I cook the chicken soup first while waiting the undergraduate students to finish weaving the ketupat skin.

The look of the filled ketupat with washed rice. Ready to be cooked after submerge them in water. Cook using the existing equipment in lab.

It took only 1 hour for the first batch of 12 ketupat to finish cooking. Where it is ready to be eaten. I do immediately finished fill in the balance from 1 kg rice to 16 ketupat to cook them afterwards. Finished cooking the second session ketupat by 4.20 pm. Where the fasting undergraduate students able to take their fill for their iftar later. 

We are using 1 kg rice and 1.9 kg whole chicken for 6 person consumption. Start making the ketupat skin around 12 pm. Basically able to eat it 3 hours after that. Our makan besar on Aidil Adha eve. The longest time taken in the weaving process. Having a pressure cooker does helps a lot to cut time for 6 person consumption [1].

It does feel good as one of the undergraduate student never once eaten soto ayam with ketupat. He even get refill and eat it with sambal kicap (spicy soy sauce) like true Johorean.

My review on 96 LEDs video light

This is taken last 16 June 2020. My 96 LEDs video light. The set comes with 1 unit of 96 LEDs video light, yellow diffuser and adjustable hot shoe mount.

It has battery indicator at the back. So easy to know and estimate time to start recharge the used battery. This 96 LEDs video light is using Sony NP-F type battery. I just used my Sony NP-F770 battery from my 160 LEDs video light set.

My scramble eggs with yogurt and cheese slice.

This is taken in the noon of 18 June 2020. Where I make scramble eggs with home made yogurt and cheese slice. I do add a pinch of salf and black pepper for taste.

I put cheese slice in the middle part.

Replacing compact fluorescent lamp in my ground floor toilet

This is taken last 27 July 2020. The compact fluorescent lamp died last night of 19 July 2020 while my companion bathing in the toilet. I use my 10 steps ladder to take out the compact fluorescent lamp and store it in a container. Which is easier and safer for me to bring it along to lamp shop to buy same model as replacement unit. As precaution, I do make sure to turn off the main circuit breaker (MCB) before I start climbing my 10 steps ladder to take the compact fluorescent lamp out from its socket. Better safe than never.

The old compact fluorescent lamp replaced last 15 July 2018. Based on the warranty sticker on it.

Good cockroach killing powder

I have been using cockroach killing powder for the past 3 weeks. It gives higher killing rate than my previous methods and ingredients.

I am determine to make sure extinction of cockroach population at home. Amy fibre optic cable in storage room was munched and cut off by them. Which cost me more not less than RM 100 to resolve the matter. 

My review on Ultimate 6 in 1, 600 W hand blender

This is taken in the noon of 14 June 2020. Where I am able to get nicely blended sauté ingredients to make nasi goreng (fried rice). I used the chopper bowl accessories of my hand blender to blend the peeled ingredients such as turmeric,ginger,garlic and red onion.

This is taken in the noon of 14 June 2020. Where it took less than 2 minutes for me to get nicely chopped sauté ingredients. All thanks to the chopper bowl accessories of my hand blender.

My review on Flea Terminator dropper brand Peeos Aquatic (PA)

This is taken in the morning of 16 June 2020. Can see how active Furball is till she can perch comfortably on my shoulder. I was tending after my plants that time.

I receive the flea terminator dropper in the noon of 15 June 2020. Where I am able to use it on Furball after she dried up from her bath. I bath Furball using new cat flea treatment shampoo [1]. Since she is less than 5 kg, I used 5 drops on her as per instruction given.

My rechargeable LED flashlight

I think I bought it last 2017. So far it has help me a lot especially when gardening at night [1]. For near pest detection, I use mode high with adjusted focus to zoom out. For far pest detection, I use mode high with adjusted focus to zoom in. Other than that is mode sos. Would be convenient for emergency at night.

This is taken last 14 July 2020. Where I decided to make soft pink colour theme of washable face mask from design number 2. Where I still choose to use adjustable earloop for it.

Furball, the cat that able to stay put on my lap

This is taken in the evening of 9 June 2020. Where I let Furball out from her room. As I wanted her to stretch out while I tend after my plants.

Well my plan does back fired. As Furball keep on staying on my lap. She is able to eat well when I put her food on my lap. She does not ran away even when next door cat passing through beside us.

My consultation service to evaluate 4 WD vehicle for test drive

This is taken in the afternoon of 17 July 2020. Where I was booked to be back passanger evaluator for 4 WD vehicle test drive. For this session, Hilux 2.4 is chosen for test drive.

Growth of my planted rock melon

This is taken last 15 June 2020. Where can see more rock melon seeds sprouted its leaves. After germinated last 11 June 2020 along with Dino kale and roselle seeds [1].

Only 1 seed sprouted last 14 June 2020.

My way of using washable face mask with adjustable earloop

I can leave my washable face mask with adjustable earloop on my neck area in between usage. This is taken in the morning of 16 July 2020. Where I shift it to the side of my neck when having breakfast.

This is taken in the evening. To show that I am able to wear again my old kebaya that made last 2008. Where that time my weight is between 55 kg to 58 kg.

My herbal drink thay consist of pandan leaf and spearmint leaves

This is taken in the evening of 15 July 2020. Where I manage to remember to bring up pandan leaf and spearmint leaves with me to my room. To make my herbal drink. As I was having difficulty to fall asleep the day before. Where I sleep near 3 am and wake up 5.07 am. So far, I found that drinking spearmint infused drink helps me to fall asleep much earlier. A good alternative than taking prescribed medicine such as sleeping pill.

Thankfully, I am able to fall asleep before 13 am that night. Wake up 6.27 am. It is a very deep sleep and enable to to rest well. I even empty my bowel twice the next morning before 7.30 am.

My girlfriend manage to harvest good size of purple sweet potato tuber last 11 May 2019. Where I give her some vine to my Sweet Caroline Sweetheart Jet black last March 2019 [1]. She did plant it in raised bed. 

Actuallt my aunt said this type of purple sweet potato is only eaten the leaves as vegetable. Well, my girlfriend did prove that its tuber also can be eaten and taste sweet.

This is taken late evening of 14 July 2020. Actually my pomegranate flower already start to bloom last 13 July 2020. But I only manage to take its picture today. Basically it took 6 days for it to bloom after producing flower bud last 7 July 2020 [1].

This is taken last evening of 3 July 2020. Where I notice there is 2 new spathes at my kelapa pandan (coconut) plant.

My grey theme design number 2 of washable face mask

I manage to make 1 unit of my design number 2 face mask [1]. I choose grey theme using cotton fabric with storm troopers print. Unlike first version of design number 2 using hair band, I choose to use adjustable earloop like in design number 1 [2]. Since I do feel my ears  very sore after using first version of design 2 more than 3 hours while cleaning up dust at home.

Tip to make chicken soup that make it easy to clean and store afterwards

This is taken in the morning. Where I make chicken soup for my cat. I use 1 large stainless steel bowl that able to accomodate between 400 gm to 600 gm frozen chicken. Put the filled bowl inside inner pot of my pressure cooker. Then I choose function meat/poultry, default 15 minutes time in my Philips HD 2137 pressure cooker.

Reason to use such method is to make it easier to store or serve the cooked dish after cooking.

Growth update of longan lada hitam fruit buds after 5 days

This is taken last 10 July 2020. 5 days after last progress pictures taken. Even has 2 more fruit buds this time.

My red coloured hand sewn face mask using old t-shirt

This is taken in the evening of 9 July 2020. Where I have extra energy to make hand sewn face mask using my old t-shirt. I am using other pattern for this face mask. Which is my design number 2. Different from my yellow theme face mask (design number 1) [1]. Some how this red face mask looks sleek in the taken pictures.

This is taken in evening of 6 July 2020. Where I notice first tendril to my grape plant. This is after 194 days or 6 months and 11 days it is planted [1].

My self made washable face mask with adjustable earloop

This is taken in the evening of 8 July 2020. Where I am able to muster my concentration to make washable face mask. My effort and attempt to reduce cost from spending on disposable face mask. Plus I am able to choose desired fabric, pattern with desired thickness and etc.
I decided to go with yellow colour theme. In order to complement my Batgirl printed  cotton fabric. This is my design number 1.

I choose to use long string to get adjustable earloop instead of stretchable or elastic head band. Since the long string more convenient and easier for me to use, being a hijab user.
