🌀 Fan-Drying My Hair After Zohor & Asar, its A Game-Changer!

One of the small habits that really helped me manage my post-prayer weekdays routine, especially after Zohor and Asar. That is using a portable fan to dry my head and hair. Yes, you read that right! I personally find it super helpful, especially when I’m short on time and can’t afford to leave my scalp damp for too long.

The one I use has two powerful nozzles and very strong wind output. Its definitely not your average lightweight gadget! Just a heads-up though: it’s heavy (around 360g), so I highly recommend using a lanyard and keeping it safely hanging when not in use. Trust me, I’ve had it fall on my foot once and ended up with a bruised toe! 😅

💡 Pro tip: I also make it a habit to blow-dry my hair every morning after shampooing. It keeps my scalp fresh and prevents that damp, sticky feeling. Especially helpful in our hot and humid weather in Malaysia.

This entry is made in the morning of 29 September 2023. This hair dryer was bought for my birthday last January 2016. I get to buy display unit with 2 years warranty 20% off from market price [1]. Still bought it although it is not foldable. Due to the specifications it has.

This is taken on the evening of 27 November 2022. Since I keep on forgeting to make entry for it. Despite bought it last 17 September 2022.

It really helps to reduce my hair loss. Compare to before using it. Really thankful with the decision to seek consultation in purchasing this hair fall shampoo in the shop instead of online. Without the given consultation and guidance, I would surely still faced hair loss issue. Different people might need different solution based on their issue and requirement.

Hair tonic that I used

This is taken on the morning of 27 November 2022. Where I finally open and use the hair tonic. After buying it last 17 September 2022. I go to a physical shop. Since I prefer to get consultation on such matter. As I treat it needs to be addressed fast.

The tonic feels cooling when applied to my scalp. Will update you later on the progress. This is one of my effort in curbing my hair loss issue.

As my customer unable to spare time to make review on my hair tonic, I have to make one.

He is very satisfied with my hair tonic type A. As he said it gives quite instant darkening effect per application. But only after consistent usage more than 2 weeks time. As the hair already used to the hair tonic for fast absorbance.

My review on Panasonic quick hair dryer model EH-ND40-A655

I am using this hair dryer each time I am traveling. Bought it last 2014 for my own personal birthday gift to myself. Almost 4 years already with me.

What I like on this hair dryer:

• It is foldable handle. A feature that is required from me to be able to fit in my luggage.
• It has 3 temperature selections.
• It has 2 speed selections.
• Cool air selections.
• Power: 1600W
• Healthy & Set mode of 50°C
• Automatic overheating protective device
• Healthy quick drying nozzle
• Part where in enable the hair dryer to be hooked

What it lacks of:

• Nanoe technology. Unlike all Panasonic high end hair dryer.
• Tourmaline and ceramic technology—key for smooth strands
• A "cool shot" button. The "cool shot" is a button usually on the handle of the dryer that will shoot cool hair out, which will help you set your hair style, particularly for bangs and flips.

Verdict:

Regardless this hair dryer does have lacks of certain features that I need, it is convenient enough to dry my wet drench hair. Despite it takes longer time since it is quite low in power. 

The automatic overheating protective device function does help a lot in drying process. Also in protecting the device itself. Where this technology is not in my previous Vidal Sassoon hair dryer model S108. Which makes it grow hotter when after using it for more than 5 or 6 years (from 2009 until 2014/2015) [3]. 

By the way, do make sure to use a good quality surge protector  when using hair dryer with it [4,5]. As surge protector is better to be used on electronic devices compare to power strip [6]. Since surge protector able to protect your device from power spike. Does assist in reduce from any mishaps when using heavy duty hair dryer where could leads sparks generated from overloaded power which can cause fire hazard when the device is connected on a normal power strip or even wall plug that have no surge protector function. Like what happen to one of my girlfriend last year. Which she put blame on her power strip that have no surge protector function. Where it is actually user fault for not choosing good match on device and connector to use the device 😏.

Review on Vidal Sassoon hair dryer S108

This is my first hair dryer.

Bought in 2008. That time have discount offer. RM 99 from 129.

I bought it immediately since it is Vidal Sassoon brand. At that time, Vidal Sassoon were quite a good brand for a hair dryer. Plus, it was ionic with ceramic coating.

It has heat speed 1 and 2. Cold wind after heat speed 2. Which means the cold wind speed is stronger

But over time, the hair dryer easily become hotter during usage. Where can smell burn when I dry a damp towel during raining season in December 2014 in Pekan, Pahang. Which definitely not good for delicate stuff like my precious hair. At time I bought the hair dryer, I don't consider function/technology on automatic heat protections as a major concern or function in a hair dryer compare to now. Where now the Vidal Sassoon hair dryer is fast overheating. Even when I use heat number 1.
I do find such function/technology is a must for my current usage. As it would help to protect the hair dryer. Also give a length on the device life span.
Now the hair dryer already have crack all over the body and nozzle area. Still, it works regardless overheating issue.

I have been using the hair dryer till 2014. It is really handy for traveling. The wind strength is sufficient enough for me at that time.
I still keep the hair dryer. Cause few of it parts can still be used in few projects.
But today, I have decided to let the hair dryer go. As last time I lend one of the lab mate my hair dryer to help dry stray kitten in lab area. After I took it back, I remember I still kept my Vidal Sassoon hair dryer in lab. I quickly look for it and eventually found it. I immediately give it to the lab mate. At least, the hair dryer still could be used to help others such as the stray kitten😉
