Quick Errands at UTC JB: Insurance, Road tax & a Surprise Discovery

18 June 2025 – Morning Update

This morning turned out to be unexpectedly productive. While accompanying a friend to settle a traffic summon at the MBIP counter, I decided to take the chance to renew both the insurance and road tax for the car that I am using at UTC Johor Bahru.

To my surprise, the whole process took less than 30 minutes. Definitely worth the trip!

When we reached the MBIP city council building, we noticed it was closed. After asking the staff, we learned that it’s currently undergoing a major renovation, expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

After settle my friend's errand in MBIP counter, I proceed to drop to MyEG office. Gratefully, the person at the insurance counter asked whether I wanted coverage for all windows or just the windscreen. I chose the windscreen-only option, which was just right for my needs.

As for my road tax renewal, it was a smooth process. I simply downloaded the JPJeQ app from the Play Store to get my queue number. This can only be done after renewing my insurance at the MyEG counter. Where I only had to pay RM 20 for the road tax at JPJ counter.

My number was called after 25 minutes of waiting.

I managed to send off two fabrics to the tailor today. Yes, already. For my custom tops for the next Hari Raya Aidilfitri! Some may say it's way too early (my aunt certainly thinks it's ridiculous!), but I believe in planning ahead.

I’m not one to chase trends. For me, it’s all about comfort, personal style, and making sure everything is ready well before the festive rush. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my outfits will be perfectly tailored, without any last-minute surprises or alterations.

Better early than sorry, right?

All in all, a productive morning that checked off more than I expected!

This is done last 21 July 2024. 

Pit stop for the morning. A visit to medical doctor.

Eating soto ayam for my breakfast. Need soupy food to sooth my dry throat. 

The look of the prescribed medicines for me. Consist of medicine for flu, sore throat, cough, pain killer and antibiotics.

After reached home around 6 pm.

This is taken on the noon of 22 July 2024.

Where I have to attend after 1 Master by taught course student to finished off her thesis for Turnitin checks. 

I have to even reply even when I am in the loo. And in unwell condition. 

Have to join site survey in the hot afternoon weather. 

Fortunately able to spot 1 stall selling sweet corn cobs.

Some activities done for the day

This is taken on the evening of 25 July 2024. Where me and my lab mates able to harvest rambutan fruits. This time around, we bring 2 set of extendable pole to harvest in more efficient manner.

This is taken on the morning of 26 July 2024. Where I managed to go to the lab to water all plants. Then proceed to harvest and trim roselle fruits.

Output of roselle juice after let it simmer for 4 hours and 45 minutes at 60°C. Start from 4.15 pm. Drink 9.11 pm. Source of fresh vitamin C for my sore and itchy throat.

It was not easy doing all those works when my body is in unwell condition. Which I end up getting angry to myself during body cleaning up process after finishing up the above works.

Activity of the day

This is taken on the morning of 26 August 2024. 1 from balance 5 flower buds to melur jawa@jambak started to bloom. The one that harvested and taken by one customer last Thursday, still blooming in her home. Which I forget to take the handover picture. She put inside the rest room. And her husband did not notice the flower. Only able to pick up the scent. And ask my customer, why the rest room smells like the forest (hutan).

Lunch with steamed rice and gulai kawah. Which I add potatoes inside the gulai kawah.

I also successfully convert audio files of my viva into text. Glad to be able to settle 1 work. Now feel more motivation.

Some activities of the day

This is taken on the morning of 29 July 2024. 

Starting my day with a plate of nasi dagang with kari ikan tongkol.

The temperature is 45°C during noon time. 

Where I become escort to my boss who goes shopping for fertilizer. As he unable to stand my 1 kelapa pandan (coconut) tree have more fruits and yield compare to his 5 kelapa pandan (coconut) tree. Well he forget that my kelapa pandan (coconut) tree have me as their gardener and care taker on Master level.

Upon reache lab 4 pm, I immediately processed the bought 5 corn cobs for tea break consumption.

The used 6 liter inner pot able to accommodate 5 corn cobs per cooking session.

Use pressure cooker to steam it at 4.14 pm.

Finished cooking when go check 4.21 pm.

4.24 pm put in vecad pantry for the other 3 to eat.

4.26 pm I arrived prayer room to do my Zohor prayer.

Fully utilized time😬.
