How to do make up or take selfie when not enough lighting or blackout

I am used to do make up in condition where the lighting is not enough or during blackout. I even bought a mirror with a built in LED light for that purpose.
Similar model of LED mirror that I have used. Picture from http://dealizle.com/
However, the mirror is too huge to stuff in my daily make up bag.
Dimension of the LED mirror. Picture from http://dealizle.com/
Some more, the LED mirror requires 4 unit of AA batteries in order to be used.

Which would be a lot better if using USB cable instead.

I also need my own mirror to do make up since I am far sighted and the normal mirror in the public bathroom is too far for me to see without my glasses. And I also don't like to conquer the mirror in the prayer room as I would take time to finish my make up.

Now, I am using only LED lamp that can be powered up using powerbank via USB cable. And use normal mirror since it is more handy that way.

Sorry on the messy working table. A lot in hand this morning
With good lighting angle

Slightly off in the lighting angle
I opt for LED light without stand as it would be much easier to toss in my handbag for daily usage.
Hope this entry would help you to get better idea to do your make up even when the lighting is low.

Really interested with this LED wall mounted mirror to put in my room or bathroom.

Would be easy to do make up in the bathroom
Extendable version would be even better.

Till then, have a good weekdays.

My hair dryer assist a lot in keeping my hair dry, daily

I am a type of person who love to wear shawl daily. Due to that, I do feel better to have a dry hair before putting on the shawl. Especially cause I love to wash my hair every morning in order to be more awake😬.

I was smitten after introduced to the hair dryer by my gorgeous cousin in 2008 and never part with it ever since the day we met ❤️. She was using Panasonic EH-ND52. I love it since it helps me to have a dry hair before putting a shawl to go out. And it does feel better to sleep with a dry hair and makes me more comfortable.

Criteria that I have found in order to invest for a good travel hair dryer:
- need to be minimum 2000 Watt. The higher the better
- must have separate cool and hot shot. will have higher wind speed when separate
- must have features to protect hair
- must be fast in drying my thick hair
- must be within budget = within RM 100
- need to be minimum ionic since it this technology enable fast drying hair. But, you will definitely need to make sure not over drying your hair.

There are various type of hair dryer. But I would prefer travel version of it. Since I travel a lot and better to have travel version as it can fold and reduce space in luggage. Yet, need to get a powerful ones since I have a thick hair that will take longer time if using normal version.
My current travel hair dryer is Panasonic EH NE11. It was good with ionity (or ionic) features. But not enough to get faster drying time since I have a thick hair.
Plus, the hair dryer already getting hot faster while in use. Which only means, time to be replaced. I do wish a station that could help to refurbish and upgrade my hair dryer instead of replacing it 😉.

Now I am eyeing for better travel hair dryer that able to dry my thick hair faster and keep the hair soft. At this moment, I have 2 model in budget (not more than RM 100):
1) Panasonic EH NA40. Price RM 110 retail. Have tested this one. This one have separate speed for cool and hot shot. Have ionic feature
2) Panasonic EH ND62. Price RM 145 retail, RM 109 Christmase sale in Jusco. But this one don't have ionic features. Only the power 2000 W, which is good and fast to dry my thick hair.

I did found 1 model hair dryer that come with styling tools. Brand Pristech. Which I do found it good for a beginner since that will save a lot of money than to buy different type of styling tools. But it doesn't have the ionic feature in it.

Regardless what, need to make sure to use heat protectant product first before using hair dryer or any styling tools like straightener and curler. This is to ensure your hair to get minimum damage while using the heating tools.

Other usage of air dryer is to keep my damp clothes dry faster. Discover this when my friend have a spill on the trousers that being wear and manage to dry it within less that 1 minute without need to take it off 😬. Very handy

Below is my summary for hair dryer selection, focus on the model in Malaysia market in December 2015.
My summary based on hair dryer in the market
Till then, have a good dry hair day ❤️.

USB Wall socket in my house

Last 2 week I did post about USB Wall socket. So, I would like to show the one that I am currently using in my house. Since I am in budget, I can only manage to have 1 USB Wall socket in every room in the house. I have 4 room.

As you can see in the picture below, I have upgrade every wall socket in my room from only 1 to 3 per port.
3 wall socket in every room with 1 USB wall socket in it
Up close on the USB wall socket

When the switch is on
Up close on the port in usage
Sorry on the background picture. Especially on the unfinished touch up around the wall socket.

There a various type of USB wall socket. Like in my previous entry, that one don't have on switch. But my friend like it very much since it have the port for 2 pin plug. Where my friend intended to use in the kitchen. In order to be able to charge phone and also use the port for blender or etc. Which is also a good idea since no need to bring charger around in the kitchen. That is what I am still doing now :(( Really envy my friend. Cause see further ahead than me [-)

The one that I used, the output current is 1000 mA for each USB port. There are also type that have 1000 mA and 2100 mA per port.
When I google about the usage of the USB wall socket, it was already in Malaysia market since the past 3 years. But it was used in luxury hotel such as in Genting Highland.

Till then, have a good new year week :)

USB Wall Socket for home (even in kitchen) and office use

I have first encounter this item while I was looking for stuff in a computer shop in Kuantan last Aug 2015. At that time, my house in renovation stage. I am also in the process adding my current wall from initial 1 socket per room to become total 3. This item give me an idea to use and test proof it in my house.

After installation of the USB wall socket in every room, my tenant were very satisfied. She was just enter the room that day and unable to find her phone charger. So, she just borrow cable charger from other tenant and voila, problem solved. Able to charge phone for that time.

I am also one happy customer. As I do not need to take out my phone charger from my backpack. So, less hassle to pack when going out to lab the next day.

For anyone who wants to order this useful device, I will put link to the website for you to place your order in next entry.

Below is the brochure for the device:

Till then, have a good weekend.

How to save your bandwidth after joining various chat groups?

This is the current scenario in chat group. The people in the  chat group loves to upload various pictures. Sometimes the same pictures being posted all over again. And this does eat your data plan bandwidth. One of the solution that I have discover is, to only download all the pictures and video once you connected Wi-Fi only.
To do this, for whatsapp you need to go to Setting-> chat setting-> choose "media auto download"-> untick all for "using mobile data" and only tick all for "when connected on Wi-Fi". With this option, you can only download what you want to see only using your data plan.
Hope this tips help. You can also use the same trick here in other chat type such as Telegram and etc.

Working under pressure and less equipment. How you cope with it?

Being an avid traveller who travel by bus, I always make sure to be prepared for worst case scenario.

As a person and an engineer who constantly working on the move, there are a few items that I have found essential for professional worker traveller.
List of the item:
1) Android platform phone
   - Reason to use: open platform. Easy compatibility with most of my Microsoft based documents. Plus build in PDF viewer which is even better to view journals and etc.
Regardless you're using different phone platform such as Apple and Windows, you can still do your work, task and assignment by drafting in email or note apps in your phone. Then paste the drafted content in Google doc. For chart or any illustrative part, just sketch on a paper. Snap picture of it. Then attach to your work. That is still way better than nothing. No wonder people who use Note by Samsung were very lucky to have such device in hands. Regardless what, the user stil need to know how to use it. If not, smartphone will only become "SEMAK" phone. Now already reaching to launch Samsung Note 5 with 4 GB RAM after Note 4 in the current market. How fast the technology is nowadays.

2)  OTG USB cable
   - This cable I would normally used when I wanted to read journals or edit any office documents on the go from my pen drive. This save a lot of space in my phone as I can access my documents seamlessly from my pen drive. Without need to kept all the documents in my phone.
This cable also easily compatible with most of my Android phone and also my friends.
This is also a bonus to me as sometimes the usage of laptop are restricted in bus or bus stop or small bus station like Pekeliling in KL or even in large bus station like JB Central or Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS).

3) Powerbank
   - Minimum quantity that I bring along even for daily basis is 3 units. I have 1 unit of 30,000 mAh, 1 unit of 20,000 mAh and 1 unit of 10,000 mAh. This really helps especially in sudden blackout in the faculty or places that you go.
Plus, I normally charge my phone using powerbank even when I have car charger with me in order to have longer lifespan phone. You can read the side effect using car charger to charge up phone in this link http://forums.androidcentral.com/general-news-discussion/298231-safe-use-car-charger.html. To be frank, I do not advise to do so. As there will be a spike of input towards your phone when you hit the fuel pedal. Since I have experienced one of my usb humidifier blow up after using car charger to use it in the car. Since that, me and my friend concluded that the using car charger is the cause of our phone lifespan shorter than ever😉.
One of my powerbank do have cut-off features. Which means, the powerbank will automatically stop charging your phone when it is already full. The main reason my friends and my boss loving the powerbank that I suggested.
Front view

The back view of powerbank with cut-off features
I even experienced 1 guy, I think he's a student asking to charged up his phone via my powerbank while we are in a bus. I can't say no at that moment. But for me personally, you really have to learn to save up your phone battery for emergency yourself. Especially to prepare contact person that will come to fetch you once arrived your destination.

4) 4 port usb wall adapter.
   - Well that is the minimum port that I am using. I normally suggest people who are already have family or even single to use it as it is convenient when you're travelling especially when go back home town. One of my customer even express his gratitude to me the next day after purchase as he no longer need to fight for the wall socket with his spouse. Although his kid not yet using phone at this moment.
As for my boss, his kids now monopoly the 4 port usb charger as it charged faster that the charger given in the original phone package until he have to buy another one for his own usage.
Me abusing my current 5 port usb wall adapter

The price of current 6 port wall charger. I sell less than this price including cable for 4 port usb
What matter the most is what you can do to adapt with the situation. Complains without effort cannot make things better. Yet,to have constructive complaints also good for improvement.
As me being an engineers, we are train to adapt and try to solve problems and come out with the best possible solutions😃
Yet, all of this makes my bag heavy each day. Still in process learning to simplify my stuff and my life. How I hope to have such life.

Till next entry, have a good ending day.

What's driven you to finish your studies?

I am in a slump nowadays. That is one side of being a girl = easily to become emotional once you're tired and down. Plus, juggling with work and studies. It was not easy peasy as it seems to be. This part where I start being envious with guys. They have less emotion to control especially when they not need to face the day of the month/:) Bless them.

Due to that, I have asked plenty of people what motivates them to finish their studies. One friend of mine did reply me. On what actually driven him to finish his Master in early 90's. His answer was simple yet powerful. He wants to be better than his friends. True, that is one of my motivation when I started to do Master.
And I do need to keep that motivation alive. I have already set my target and goals. What matter the most is how I am going to achieve it no matter what way.
As people would be more creative once they are under pressure. I am hoping to be one of them;)

And I also need to trust myself that I can do it. Plus to have faith in others and trust them when they help. Although the result would not be as same as what I do. Yet I still need to trust them and navigate them accordingly. That is how a good team were made.

I am very lucky to have a good friends and relatives who helped a lot especially to tend my precious babies when I am not around.

My baby Ismadi who was really spoiled as he wanted to be patted and hug for his sleep

Ismadi face as he was not satisfied playing with my feet
Below is Ismadi play time with his teddy bear:
Yes. I get to bite teddy face !

Aum, bottom part of teddy being bite

Yay, I get teddy neck

Heads out teddy

Yargh teddy

Too tired after an aggressive play
My selfie with cage to get 3 more of Ismadi's siblings
The cute kittens who is only 3 months old

Play time for 3 of them after reach home. Very active at night
They are also one of the reason I need to finish my Master fast. Already missed them a lot when I am in Pahang to finish up my works. Thanks guys for helping to tend after them. We should be ready for my house warming before Ramadhan this year:>

Till then, do wish me to be in a good health;)
