Komodo dragon spotted near big drain in UTM Skudai

If you think Komodo dragon [1] extinct, fear no more. As still plenty of them roam in UTM Skudai campus. Easily spotted also. We Malay, normally called it biawak.

Komodo dragon is among one of wildlife that still exist in UTM Skudai from wild boar, weasel [2], fox and etc.

It was about to have a meal during my lunch break

Seems like this Komodo dragon is feeling shy when I am creeping towards it to take is picture. As it turn back towards water

I am slow to catch its picture while the head was still bobbing out from water

This komodo dragon size is like a small crocodile already. Very big.

Taking a break with my baby cats after re-plant few plants at home

I am blessed to have such a pampered cat as my companion at home. He even wait patiently for me to finish re-plant the plants. And then immediately sit with me while I am taking a break from such activity.
Even my neighbor who have plenty of cats were surprised seeing my baby Dell stay quietly while I am holding him in my arms. Dell do behave like little kid. He won't struggle or try to run away from from my hug. More like just accepting his fate😂

Yes. Many can put on very good make up on them. But how many able to secure a job or project when competing with male competitor especially in engineering world? Normally these kind of things will be appreciated once you start working. Where sometimes, it is already too late to do something about it.

Short course: Grooming for Lady Engineers

I have been complimented plenty of times by most of my male companions and colleagues on my appearance and attire. Regardless I am wearing make up when going for work, it does not look overwhelming. Plus my robust work attitude which most of the time better than the new male engineers.

What most of my male companions and colleagues always comments on appearance and attitude of other lady engineer are:

1. Their make up is too thick and heavy like soap opera or for night function/event
2. Appearance did not suit job function such as heavy make up as operator in factory or site engineer
3. Hardly to withstand late working hours even as early as 8 pm (I have experienced a lot later than that)

For item 2 above =>Yellow arrow is to show how vibrant her lipstick colour. She even make her eyebrows done well. Also her full face make up. However, such make up is more suitable if she is working as receptionist. As people would appreciate better and worth her effort also. That is what I am going to teach and explain more during my short course

The above things only being appreciated once start working. Where sometimes it is already too late to do something about it.

I am conducting a short course: Grooming for Lady Engineers on 25 November 2017. Venue: VeCad Laboratory in Block P04, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UTM Skudai. Those who are interested can book their slot with me.

Today's look. I only use one hand to put one make up as one more I use to hold magnifying mirror with led. No more worries no light when want to put on make up. Fully utilize things I have in hand

My so-called grill beef today

I just use ingredients that I have in my kitchen since I am craving to eat fresh home cooked beef this morning.

I just put chopped garlic half clove, planta 1 spoon, turmeric powder 2 spoon, chopped cuban oregano (home grow),  brown sugar half spoon and salt 1/4 spoon on my 500 gm beef.

However, I did forget to put my home grown curry leaves, turmeric leaves and chili pepper in my marinated beef before cooking process using my magic pan.

I manage to put banana leaves from the one I grow at the side of my house to give extra fragrant on the grilled beef. That is my custom style when using my magic pan.

I leave it cook under small fire while I take bath and get ready to work. By the time I finish getting ready (around 35 minutes), the beef is cooked well and I am able to pack to bring it to work today. Talk about multi tasking😌

Seems like my so-called grilled beef taste well when eaten with rebung madu. I think for those who like a bit of spicy taste, can put Bird's chili eye pepper while marinating the beef before cook.

Flood in my old house in Batu Pahat last January 2007

It was the worst flood ever in my area in Batu Pahat and Johor mainly that time [1,2].

Sorry for the quality of the pictures is not that good. Especially pictures taken while I am in a moving vehicle. Well, at least that is the only gadget that I have. Still I have evidence of the flood that hit our house that time.

We manage to ensure safety of electrical appliances at home by putting them all on a table. We only bring important documents with us during evacuation process such as birth certificate, death certificate and etc. We are very fortunate that time as my Mother still kept my late father Pajero. Which comes in handy for evacuation process since smaller car like kancil no longer able to go in our porch area without risking water seeping into their exhaust nozzle/pipe.

Till then, be safe during evacuation in flood time.

My sweat proof make up for today

My make up surprisingly sweat proof today. It happen that I help out my lab mate to clean up upper floor shop unit. Where no fan at the hall area. And my sweat were dripping from my face while sweeping clean the carpeted floor.

Below is the look that being taken early of the day before I went out, after the sweating session and after I remove my make up.

Fortunately my bare face still looks alive than a ghostly look😂But didn't look that cheerful

I think people able to see from primary camera that my make up is very light. Can see clearly all the huge pores, pimples and other imperfections. Well, I prefer light make up or natural look for my daily look. Especially due to my time constraint. Enough to make my face to look cheerful and alive, than overwhelming which not suitable with my work nature as an outdoor engineer. As I have to tend after my cats and plants before I leave home for work in daily basis. Well, they are my responsibility as I am their owner and care taker.

Sequence of my make up for today:

1. Toner after wash my face

2. Face serum

3. Moisturizer: Egyptian Magic cream [1]

4. Foundation: Kryolan Tv Stick in 3W

5. Setting the foundation using NARS loose powder code 04

6. Do eyebrow using Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in dark brown

9. Lips: True MatteMoist in Coralie

Lastly, I spray rose water to soften my make up.

I only use baby wet wipes to clean up my face before prayer. Which surprisingly all of them come out really well.

Backing up data from my phone wireless way

I have less time to do data transfer or backing up data in my phone via usb transfer. Since I am on the move and most of the time the usb transfer will easily hang on me. God know why only. That is why I finally try wireless data transfer using local area network (LAN). It is easier. Regardless it took longer time when there is more than 2 GB data being transferred. However, it enables me to use my phone as long as the phone is connected to LAN.

My review of Make Up Brush Cleaner by Daiso

I did find that this Make Up Brush Cleaner very handy. Especially for busy people like me😅

Last Tuesday, I manage to clean 10 brushes within 30 minutes up till hang it to the drying rack in the morning before go to work. Since this cleaner very easy to use. Step that I do to clean brush using this cleaner:
1) I just need to dip my brush in the cleaner that being placed in a bowl. I use less than 3 ml and add more when needed.
2) Swirl the brush.
3) Then I use silicon mat to scrub of the remaining residue from the brush if any.
4) After that, I just rinse the brush with running water from the tap.

Can skip step 3 for light stain such as eyeshadow brush😊
It is just as simple 4 cleaning step.

The Make Up Brush Cleaner from Daiso

This product contains water, ethyl alcohol, surfactant 7%, sodium laureth sulfate, polysorbate 80, akyl polyglycoside, peg-7 glyceryl, cocoate, preservative.
The quantity is 150 ml per bottle. So far, I have use it 3 times only. I even use it to help wash my girlfriend brushes last 2 weeks [2].

My make up for today. Truly feel I have completed my eyebrows technique

I am using my MAC travel slanted brush number 263SE.

The result of make up this morning. Taken before going to work. This look took me almost 20 minutes. That is within the range of allocated make up time 30 minutes for daily look

I just focus on my eyebrows for this look after put on my foundation. I use eyebrow powder for this look. Then I put on simple eyeliner. Finish off with blusher and matte lipgloss for lips. That really meet the allocated 30 minutes make up time for daily look. No more playing with eye shadows for me since it would consume time for almost 1 hour due to blending procedure.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the outcome of my make up today. As the eyebrows is on point regardless taken via primary phone camera.
Well, practise makes perfect.
