My self made bubur sum sum

This is taken last evening of 2 September 2021. Where I am having craving for bubur sum sum. Decided to make myself. As too lazy to drive around looking for it. I just cook it using my 2.5 liter pressure cooker. Both bubur sum sum and air gula melaka (gula melaka syrup).

The  look of blended rice flour that I used from dua gajah brand. Quite easy to make. Just need a lot patience since need to stir the cooked mixture of bubur sum sum till it is nicely blended and cooked.
I used 6 ingredients: blended rice flour, coconut milk, water, salt, brown sugar/gula melaka and pandan leaves.
Till then, have a good bubur sum sum made at home to satisfy your craving.

The look of pest on my curry leaves

This is taken last 6 September 2021. Where I found lots of black looking pests on my curry leaves. Also the curry leaves look like it is drying due to lack of water. After do some search online, found that tortoise beetle larvae is the culprit [1].

So far I am using diluted neem oil spray mixture and wood vinegar spray mixture for pest control action. For the currry plant condition improvement, I used revival potion spray. Able to see reduction of the tortoise beetle larvae. But still not much improvement on the curry leaves condition. But the curry plant still surviving.

Quite surprised with the long flame length.

Solving E4 error in my 2.5 liter pressure cooker

Was getting E4 error in my 2.5 liter pressure cooker when I was cooking Furball food in it. At first, I thought it was due to the dented inner pot. As I accidentally drop the inner pot in cleaning process the night before. Fortunately I have made softcopy of the manual of the 2.5 liter pressure cooker. Much faster and easier to refer. From the manual, stated that E4 error caused by:
- Float's air leakage
A. Food dregs on sealing ring or float.
B. Broken sealing ring or float.
Suggested actions:
- Clean the sealing ring and float.
- Change sealing ring or float.
What I do:
1. Check the float.
2. Take off the sealing ring. Change side and put it back.
Thankfully the 2.5 liter pressure cooker able to function after the second step done.
Then on 2 Seprember 2021, I get same E4 error again. This time, flipping the sealing ring did not work at all. Then, I try to flip the pressure cooker face down. Since I saw water vapour on the display panel. After 40 minutes, there is almost 10 ml water comes out from the pressure cooker. Then I put in my rechargeable dehumidifier. And put the lid on and lock it. After 30 minutes, then the pressure cooker able to work again. Despite it takes longer time, I am still glad the pressure cooker able to be used again without need to send for repair.

Cooking fried rice in my 2.5 liter pressure cooker

This is taken in the noon of 31 August 2021. Where I decided to cook fried rice using my 2.5 liter pressure cooker. As I wanted to use the accidentally harvested green lada basah (large chili) last Sunday.
The look of the cooked fried rice. I add 1 beef patty as extra ingredient in it.
The look of used ingredients : 1 green lada basah (large chili), 4 cili padi (small chili), 1 small red onion, 2 garlic and ginger. I chopped off everything. I am using ginger that I harvest yesterday. It smells more fragrant than the store bought ones.
Use function rice to stir fry the chopped ingredients with 1.5 table spoon butter. Then I add rice and 1 egg. Stir it well to combine. Then I add water. Close lid. Press cancel. Use function steam maximum for 12 minutes.
By the time I finished cleaning up cooking utensils and take bath, the fried rice finished cooking in the pressure cooker. No need to cook rice first then fry it.
Till then, have fun in enjoying your home cooked fried rice.

Breakfast with ubi kayu rebus (boiled tapioca/cassava)

My breakfast this morning: ubi kayu rebus (boiled tapioca/cassava). Harvested ubi kayu (tapioca/cassava) yesterday. Did not take picture of the harvested ubi kayu (tapioca/cassava) since finished quite late. I only take around 400 gm of it. Where I give the rest of the  harvest to my neighbour.

It taste delicious. I add 2 chopped garlic and ginger with 30 ml water. Use function rice maximum for 18 minutes in my 2.5 liter pressure cooker. It cooked nicely. Love the outcome despite using very little water. And the water seeps into the boiled ubi kayu (tapioca/cassava). So no waste at all. Love this way of cooking. I can taste the ginger strongly since I am using the one I harvested. Despite use around 3 cm x 2 cm size. Well, at least I am saved from bloated stomach after adding ginger in the cooking.

This is taken in the morning of 30 August 2021. Where I manage to harvest large clump of halia (ginger). Initially I just wanted to replant it. Since it looks like its dying. While actually it is already matured for harvest. Glad to be able to harvest it on time.

This amount more than enough for my consumption at home.

My new torch lighter

This is taken last 3 September 2021. Where I finally get hold of this precious torch lighter after searching for it in 3 shops. Sadly, this type of lighter is not easily found or sold in mini market, 7 Eleven, shopping mall. Only certain shop selling it. And its become harder to get stock since this September 2021.

I like this kind of ligher since it is easily used to light up dried leaves compare to normal lighter [1]. Can just press to light up. Refer to image below.

Comparison between my cili padi (small chili) and cili ungu (purple chili) leaves

This is taken last 29 August 2021. Where I make compilation of comparison pictures between my cili padi (small chili) and cili ungu (purple chili) leaves.

For me, the look of the leaves is very distinct. Not sure if the taken pictures able to justify much. What matter is the leaves of cili ungu (purple chili) looks different from cili padi (small chili) leaves. Where might be mistaken as weeds. Fortunately I trust my gut feeling to leave the small cili ungu (purple chili) plant. Which is why it is important to mark your germination container. This step will help prevent miss identification of the grown cili ungu (purple chili) plant.
