Lampu jalan raya yang menyala di waktu siang hari di Lingkaran Ilmu, UTM Skudai pada hari ini

Laporan terkini pada 4 Disember 2017: lampu jalan menyala disebabkan oleh kerja-kerja pembaikan. Rujuk email di bawah.

Laporan susulan: lampu jalan didapati telah dipadamkan dalam pukul 5 petang. Semoga lampu jalan tersebut dapat berfungsi dengan baik di waktu malam😍

Keadaan ketika pukul 2.30 petang:
Pada hari ini, didapati lampu jalan hidup pada waktu siang dalam pukul 2.30 petang di sekitar Lingkaran Ilmu selepas bangunan CICT UTM Skudai hingga ke simpang masuk Lengkok Kuasa (menghala ke Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektrik dan Fakulti Kejuruteraan Mekanikal). Rujuk peta di bawah bagi lokasi yang lebih tepat yang telah ditandakan dengan garis serta anak panah berwarna merah.
Mungkin faktor ini merupakan punca utama lampu jalan tidak lagi menyala menerangi jalan raya di waktu malam.

Ini kerana keadaan yang semakin kerap hujan menyebabkan banyak kawasan jalan di dalam UTM Skudai berlubang lebih besar. Dan ketiadaan lampu jalan amat membahayakan pengguna jalan raya, terutama pemandu motorsikal.

Diharap pihak yang berkenaan dapat mengambil tindakan segera agar lampu jalan tersebut dapat  berfungsi bagi menerangi jalan raya di waktu malam sahaja.

Sekian, selamat memandu dengan cermat di jalan raya yang lampu jalan tidak menyala di waktu malam hari.

Tasting the sweet taste yet still unripe my organic papaya

I keep the papaya, covered in the newspaper in order to speed up the ripening process. After 2 days, I just peel the skin and eat it today with my lab mate.

The pale colour of the papaya flesh from my second batch papaya tree [3]. Still, it taste very sweet

They are growing bigger that last week

This type of papaya suitable to eat with kuah rojak petis, make as som tam (green papaya salad Thailand) [2] and pickle (jeruk). As it is very crunchy yet not too hard. Plus it is very sweet and not juicy at all since it is not yet ripe. Which I like since the juicy ones will be messier with all the dripping juice and I would need plenty of tissue when eat it at work.
The usual kuah rojak petis that people used is kuah rojak Mak Bee.

My review on foundation Kryolan Ultra code 4W

I just use smaller than pea size [1] of the foundation Kryolan Ultra. The coverage is really wow 😍 Full coverage for me regardless it is less than pea size. Seems like my finger application today give fuller coverage than when I am using foundation brush last time. Since I am aiming for very light application and less product 😉

Today look using Kryolan Ultra foundation code 4W

I am really loving it. Can see using my magnifying mirror that my pores covered when applying it. This is really worth to buy.

The bought re-packaging Kryolan Ultra foundation as it is more cost effective for me to test this foundation before deciding full package

Ultra Foundation is a cream foundation specially formulated for the most demanding make-up expectations. As a result of its excellent covering quality, Ultra Foundation is also effective as a corrective make-up. Transparent application of Ultra Foundation is also suitable for photographic work. Its matt finish provides models with a naturally attractive appearance. The Ultra Foundation formulation contains advanced ingredients that are recognised for particularly good skin compatibility. This formulation contains no mineral oil, to assure that the skin readily absorbs the make-up. This foundation is available in a wide range of more than 70 shades [2].

Kryolan have 4 types of foundation:

1. TV PAINT STICK

The most Kryolan foundation that being used by make up artist to put on brides.

Its advantage is it able to withstand heat. As it have wax effect. Where if it is hot it would not melt due to wax effect.

Disadvantage is its texture is the thickest among other foundation. Therefore, few might feel uncomfortable using it.

2. SUPRACOLOR
Special Kryolan foundation for glowing effect. This type of foundation have mineral oil. Like current trend, people add argan oil, beauty oil and etc into their make up to get the glowing effect. This foundation already have mineral oil inside to give glowing dolly finish look.

Advantage is once applied, it will immediately give smooth outcome with very nice glowing effect. It is not as thick as TV Paint Stick. Very soft and easy to applied on using sponge or brush.
Usually applied as most top layer for bride make up to give smooth effect on skin.

Disadvantage is it is not suitable for oily skin due to the mineral oil inside the foundation. As for extremely oily skin, it might give drench look instead of the desired dewy glowing look. However, if still want to use it, need to put on skin base such as good primer as prevention from having very oily look.

3. DERMACOLOR
Super high coverage. If others give full coverage, this one give 5x coverage.

Advantage is it is not thick regardless it is full coverage. Not oily, suitable for those who have problematic skin issues or condition. It also able to cover skin that have pimple scars, tattoo, birth mark, accident scars and etc.. Basically it is powerful enough to cover any and every type of scars. You will get very smooth and healthy skin looks.

Disadvantage is it is very dry and need to blend it carefully on the skin.

Normally people use Dermacolor as concealer. For example, on T-zone to reduce oil from escaping out from make up😉

4. ULTRA FOUNDATION
Advantage is to have all advantage of the above  three (3) foundation combine in to this Ultra Foundation.
Will get the effect like using TV Paint Stick+Supracolor+Dermacolour = Ultra
>(wax effect+heat resistant effect+long lasting+glowing effect+scars skins conditions coverage effect) => but not thick or heavy at all

Disadvantage is it is the most expensive foundation in Kryolan range.

Verdict:
- Good value for money to buy
- Long lasting application
- Not cakey or even crack at all
- The best foundation compare to Supracolour (makes me looks oily instead of dewy) and TV Paint Stick (patchy on me during my dry skin season)

However, if you want smooth and not cakey or even have patches, it is recommended to put on good make up base. As make up base such as primer will help to smooth skin condition, cover all pores so that the foundation application will be smoother and less oily effect on face throughout the whole day.
In other terms such as renovation, similar process like covering all all the holes in the wall before putting the cement. For me, foundation is equal to foundation in make up😝

Please bear in mind that this Kryolan foundation have no SPF in it. Therefore, it is advisable to put sunscreen or primer with SPF before layering it on top. Especially for outdoor uses.

My new papaya and the papaya harvest today

Today I am able to harvest 2 papaya. Where both of them weight more than 700 gm each.

In the bottom part of the picture is the new papaya tree that I plant the seeds last months. Seems like the rainy weather do helps to promote fast growth of it.

Ini baru betul ayat "babi punya siput babi"😤

Hasil serbuan malam tadi

Nampak makin banyak siput-siput babi di kawasan luar rumah. Siap ada seekor yang dah panjat pokok betik yang di tanam luar rumah. Semua yang dijumpai serta merta dicampak ke dalam parit besar di luar rumah setiap kali selesai operasi pengakapan.

My review on compact travel make up bag

I have tried to fill the compact travel make up bag yesterday [1]. Sadly, the size unable to fit in my huge magnifying mirror [2] 😒Which is a drawback for me. As it is crucial for me to use magnifying mirror to put on make up. Since I am visually impaired = far sighted or long-sightedness or hyperopia [3]. Where the magnifying mirror does assist a lot in my daily make up application.

Fill up review:

Pros:

- have ample brush slot

Cons:

- unable to fit in my huge daily magnifying mirror, my fat loose powder case, my huge L.A. girl foundation bottle😢 Unless I decant all of them

- I have to do extra work decanting all my cosmetics (foundation, lipstick, Micellar water [4] for make up remover and etc) if want to use it for daily usage

Verdict:

- Good enough to accommodate  make up for daily usage

- However, not good enough for me who is someone that like carrying half of my house  content in my bags😅

My review on Swivel Brite 8x Magnifying Mirror

I receive my order within 3 days after place order on 21 November 2017. 

However, I am really angry when receive the purchase. As the item looks worn out and very dirty.
The worst part, I feel it just a normal mirror with light and sucker. No magnifying function at all.

Very dirty

Still my 7x magnifying mirror of my previous purchase better regardless its bigger size to bring for daily commute [1].

Pros:
- smaller size compare to my 7x magnifying mirror

Cons:
- using 2 unit AAA battery. It is a hassle for me as I prefer built in battery
- very dim/low light compare to my 7x magnifying mirror. Not sufficient enough for me
- still not small enough to fit in my handbag since it is quite thick
- can even use my selfie ring light to cover the low lighting issue with it as it is too thick

My review on Maybelline Eye Studio 36hours Gel Liner

Today I try to use Maybelline Eye Studio 36hours Gel Liner in code Brown to shape my eyebrows and as my eyeliner. I buy this last 2 months in Watsons, Jusco Taman Universiti, Skudai.

The result as per picture below:

Verdict:
1) Satisfied with the outcome. The brown colour not too dark and just nice complementing my eyebrows natural colour
2) Bonus: it is waterproof. No need to worry accidently smudging your eyebrows when it is itchy😉
3) Bonus as it also can be used on eyebrows, other than eyeliner as per its package. It was like killing 2 birds with one stone. I do find it is also wallet friendly being dual purpose item
4) Price wise = affordable and I am able to save more since this product quite a lot which might last for more than 1 year

My review on Real Technique (RT) make up brushes.

I receive my purchase of the Real Technique (RT) make up brushes early February 2014. I decided to buy this brand after doing extensive study for good affordable brushes for beginner. Frankly speaking, these babies does worth every penny for me.
It is soft. Not even scathing my skin. 

My look after using such a good quality RT make up brushes. I personally think I look better than before.

Seems like engineering and physic field does enable woman to earn more😍

Rupa bunga betina labuku di atas pokok betikku di rumah

Mujur bunga betina labu yang tinggi memanjat pokok betik tersebut sempat dinikahkan pada hari Sabtu lepas. Itu pun agak lewat dalam pukul 9 pagi. Terpaksa menggunakan tangga 8 kaki untuk tujuan pernikahan tersebut.

Harap-harap bunga betina labu tersebut selamat dan berjaya menjadi sebiji labu yang besar.

Saya juga terlewat 1 hari untuk menikahkan bunga betina labu saya yang dibulatkan warna biru dalam gambar di bawah. Perasan semalam. Bunga betina tersebut telah pun kuncup. Namun, saya tetap nikahkan bunga tersebut secara paksa. Nampak pada hari ini bunga betina labu tersebut masih tidak luruh. Harap-harap pernikahan paksa yang saya lakukan berjaya😅

Komodo dragon spotted near big drain in UTM Skudai

If you think Komodo dragon [1] extinct, fear no more. As still plenty of them roam in UTM Skudai campus. Easily spotted also. We Malay, normally called it biawak.

Komodo dragon is among one of wildlife that still exist in UTM Skudai from wild boar, weasel [2], fox and etc.

It was about to have a meal during my lunch break

Seems like this Komodo dragon is feeling shy when I am creeping towards it to take is picture. As it turn back towards water

I am slow to catch its picture while the head was still bobbing out from water

This komodo dragon size is like a small crocodile already. Very big.

Taking a break with my baby cats after re-plant few plants at home

I am blessed to have such a pampered cat as my companion at home. He even wait patiently for me to finish re-plant the plants. And then immediately sit with me while I am taking a break from such activity.
Even my neighbor who have plenty of cats were surprised seeing my baby Dell stay quietly while I am holding him in my arms. Dell do behave like little kid. He won't struggle or try to run away from from my hug. More like just accepting his fate😂

Short course: Grooming for Lady Engineers

I have been complimented plenty of times by most of my male companions and colleagues on my appearance and attire. Regardless I am wearing make up when going for work, it does not look overwhelming. Plus my robust work attitude which most of the time better than the new male engineers.

What most of my male companions and colleagues always comments on appearance and attitude of other lady engineer are:

1. Their make up is too thick and heavy like soap opera or for night function/event
2. Appearance did not suit job function such as heavy make up as operator in factory or site engineer
3. Hardly to withstand late working hours even as early as 8 pm (I have experienced a lot later than that)

For item 2 above =>Yellow arrow is to show how vibrant her lipstick colour. She even make her eyebrows done well. Also her full face make up. However, such make up is more suitable if she is working as receptionist. As people would appreciate better and worth her effort also. That is what I am going to teach and explain more during my short course

The above things only being appreciated once start working. Where sometimes it is already too late to do something about it.

My so-called grill beef today

I just use ingredients that I have in my kitchen since I am craving to eat fresh home cooked beef this morning.

I just put chopped garlic half clove, planta 1 spoon, turmeric powder 2 spoon, chopped cuban oregano (home grow),  brown sugar half spoon and salt 1/4 spoon on my 500 gm beef.

However, I did forget to put my home grown curry leaves, turmeric leaves and chili pepper in my marinated beef before cooking process using my magic pan.

I manage to put banana leaves from the one I grow at the side of my house to give extra fragrant on the grilled beef. That is my custom style when using my magic pan.

I leave it cook under small fire while I take bath and get ready to work. By the time I finish getting ready (around 35 minutes), the beef is cooked well and I am able to pack to bring it to work today. Talk about multi tasking😌

Seems like my so-called grilled beef taste well when eaten with rebung madu. I think for those who like a bit of spicy taste, can put Bird's chili eye pepper while marinating the beef before cook.

Till then, have a good time cooking at home with home grown ingredients.

Flood in my old house in Batu Pahat last January 2007

It was the worst flood ever in my area in Batu Pahat and Johor mainly that time [1,2].

Sorry for the quality of the pictures is not that good. Especially pictures taken while I am in a moving vehicle. Well, at least that is the only gadget that I have. Still I have evidence of the flood that hit our house that time.

We manage to ensure safety of electrical appliances at home by putting them all on a table. We only bring important documents with us during evacuation process such as birth certificate, death certificate and etc. We are very fortunate that time as my Mother still kept my late father Pajero. Which comes in handy for evacuation process since smaller car like kancil no longer able to go in our porch area without risking water seeping into their exhaust nozzle/pipe.

Till then, be safe during evacuation in flood time.
