The look of full bloom of my organic rose flower at home today

Today my organic rose flower fully bloom. It does smell really fragrant. Seeing it bloom and healthy, does give the satisfaction feeling. It does worth the wait and effort.

My finger does have few cuts while trying to snap the pictures of my organic rose flower. Therefore, do be careful when doing so.

I think I just know the kind and correct composition for the compost fertilizer for rose. As each crops requires different substance ratio of N:P:K for either flower or fruits.

Record on the heaviest weight of my organic papaya

The weight of my organic papaya already pass 2 kg per 1 unit papaya.

1) The heaviest one so far is 2,012 gm harvested 12 February 2018 [1].

2) Yesterday harvest is the second in heavy weight category that is 1,930 gm [2].

3) 1,701 gm harvested last last 30 January 2018 [3]. Can see the look of my papaya tree here [3].

Today I manage to harvest 18 unit of organic papaya at home.

Largest or heaviest organic papaya weigh 1,930 gm. It is the second heaviest from my organic papaya harvest so far [1].

The red velvety look of my rose bud this morning

Below is picture of my rose bud taken this morning.

I do feel proud seeing the red velvety look of my single rose bud at this moment.  It also already release very fragrant rosey scent despite it still in rose bud form.
Seems like my new organic fertilizer formula does works its magic.

The look of my rose flower bud tonight

I saw new rose flower bud this evening before leave the house for dinner. Since I am too excited, I decided to snap picture of it regardless the no-picture-at-night restriction. As it is almost 11 months after it last blooming in March 2017 [1].

Cuban oregano to ease my suffocating lungs from cigarette smokes

My nostrils and lungs were suffocated from rich smokes cigarette during dinner outside today. It does feel worse since I am already down in fever and dry flu. Therefore, I decided to make herbal drink from my home organic grown Cuban oregano (pokok bangun-bangun in Malay) to help ease the suffocation [1].

I add honey to add sweet flavour in the herbal drink as I am short of brown sugar.

It does help a lot. Plus the strong scent from the leaves also does improve the suffocation in my nostrils.

Barter trade citronella (serai wangi) with my Cassumunar Ginger (bonglai) plant today

I have been waiting for almost 2 months to wait for my neighbour to be at home to barter trade my plants with her Citronella (serai wangi) [1]. When she came to my house, she choose my Cassumunar Ginger (bonglai) plant and Cuban oregano as our barter trade plant [2,3].

Citronella is a type of lemon grass that has fragrant leaves [1]. It have the same look with normal lemon grass.

Cassumunar Ginger (bonglai) looks like ginger from the leaves. Also know as Bangle, Bolai, Cassumunar Ginger, Bengal Ginger, Bonada, Plai. The rhizome more yellow in colour which near towards orange compare to ginger with more powerful aroma [2].

My neighbour was quite surprise seeing my overflowing plants. Especially my pumpkin and papaya. As my papaya tree is bearing quite an abundance quantity of papaya fruits 😆. That is what the saying "seeing is believeing" truly suits the moment. She even asked what kind of fertilizer I used since my papaya fruits is plenty on its tree. Well, to know the secret you will need to be in my gardening short courses. Which I will inform later when I will handle it 😉.
Also she was impress seeing my asparagus plants. She is able to recognize my asparagus. Seems like she know the expensive ones 😉.

Supper with keropok lekor losong from Pontian

My girlfriend give me keropok lekor losong that she bought in Pontian last time.

Since I am hungry after finish hanging my laundry, I decided to cook them using my precious travel cooker.

The result were delicious. Despite no oil used in the cooking process. It does worth to have this travel cooker at home also.

My review on Panasonic quick hair dryer model EH-ND40-A655

I am using this hair dryer each time I am traveling. Bought it last 2014 for my own personal birthday gift to myself. Almost 4 years already with me.

What I like on this hair dryer:

• It is foldable handle. A feature that is required from me to be able to fit in my luggage.
• It has 3 temperature selections.
• It has 2 speed selections.
• Cool air selections.
• Power: 1600W
• Healthy & Set mode of 50°C
• Automatic overheating protective device
• Healthy quick drying nozzle
• Part where in enable the hair dryer to be hooked

What it lacks of:

• Nanoe technology. Unlike all Panasonic high end hair dryer.
• Tourmaline and ceramic technology—key for smooth strands
• A "cool shot" button. The "cool shot" is a button usually on the handle of the dryer that will shoot cool hair out, which will help you set your hair style, particularly for bangs and flips.

Verdict:

Regardless this hair dryer does have lacks of certain features that I need, it is convenient enough to dry my wet drench hair. Despite it takes longer time since it is quite low in power. 

The automatic overheating protective device function does help a lot in drying process. Also in protecting the device itself. Where this technology is not in my previous Vidal Sassoon hair dryer model S108. Which makes it grow hotter when after using it for more than 5 or 6 years (from 2009 until 2014/2015) [3]. 

By the way, do make sure to use a good quality surge protector  when using hair dryer with it [4,5]. As surge protector is better to be used on electronic devices compare to power strip [6]. Since surge protector able to protect your device from power spike. Does assist in reduce from any mishaps when using heavy duty hair dryer where could leads sparks generated from overloaded power which can cause fire hazard when the device is connected on a normal power strip or even wall plug that have no surge protector function. Like what happen to one of my girlfriend last year. Which she put blame on her power strip that have no surge protector function. Where it is actually user fault for not choosing good match on device and connector to use the device 😏.

My review on 360 degree quick multi-directional iron from Panasonic

Bought in 2010 after make a research on good steam iron. Since that time I have the luxury to splurge on such ironing assist appliance for my daily usage. Especially in making my ironing works fast on having wrinkles free effect on my working clothes.

The battered look of my good old iron assist appliance. Since I have use it on studded and bejeweled clothing without protection layer 😜.

It is 220 - 240 V. Power is from 1850 to 2200 W.

Verdict:

This iron does deliver as per what in the specification that claims it able to cut ironing time to 25% [1].

It does allow me to glide across any fabric in any directions.

Since the sole plate has balance edges on both front and back ends, which enable me to just slide the iron forwards and backwards without need to lift the iron [1].

It is a good worth of investment for me. Just that I need additional sole plate cover to protect it from my studded or bejeweled clothes 😅.

I am still satisfied using the iron despite it is already reaching almost 8 years using it.

Facial clay mask this early morning

Since my girlfriend asked me to accompany her to attend event this evening, I decided to put on facial mask.

My early morning breakfast of keropok lekor Terengganu via my travel cooker

I received keropok lekor Terengganu from my girlfriend last Monday. I decided to cook it last night. But I slept on while waiting for it to defrost. Since I am awake by 1 am and it is already defrost plus I am starving, I decided to cook it.

My review on Kenwood Multi Cooker CP 335 model

I bought this multi cooker last time when I am renting in Taman Tun Dr Ismail in 2010. That time, the house have no cooking appliances such as stove and gas tank. Only have 2 door fridge, kettle and sandwich maker.

Since I have been cooking in my previous rental place, would be hard for me not to be able to cook even burger patty. Therefore, I decided to look for a multi cooker for such purpose. That time, I went to Tropicana Mall, which is just less than 10 km from my rental place. After looking around, I decided to buy this Kenwood Multi Cooker model CP 335.

- Able to fry, steam, grill, make steamboat

- Capacity: 3.8 liter

- 1500 - 1730 W

Verdict:

The device works well. Just that have to monitor the heat strength. Especially when cook rice. Since it has no timer like normal rice cooker. If not, you will end up with burned rice. It is also very tricky to cook rice. Since the device is wider than normal size. You have to be creative to cook rice with it.

I have cook rice, fried rice, make chicken porridge, fried burger patty, make French toast, fry keropok, fry keropok lekor, make steamed fish Black Pomfret (bawal hitam) and many more [2].

Overall, I am really satisfied with my purchase. The device still works properly until now. Almost 8 years already. It does helps a lot each time when the gas tank empty at home.

Now, this model of multi cooker no longer being produced. Already obsolete and replaced with newer and more sophisticated ones.

Making herbal drink using my good old mini multi cooker

I think I bought this multi cooker last 2014. Cause I do remember one of the student in my lab using it to cook maggie.

Since I am not feeling too well this morning with bloating stomach and cramps all over my body, I decided to make a herbal drink to ease the pain.

Below is how I make my herbal drink.

I boil water using my mini multi cooker. Then I pour the hot boiled water on the herbs in my mug. Then I add some honey. After that, I just need to wait the herbal drink to cool off before start consume it.

Please take note that you need to use non metal material when making a herbal drink. That is why I didn't boil the herbs inside the multi cooker. I just use the hot boiled water from it. Then mixing the herbs in my mug and my plastic spoon.

It is really frustrating to know what residents think of residents community (RC)

In Taman Pulai Hijauan, residents community (RC) falls under category JKP (Jawatankuasa Persatuan). It is totally different from JMB and JMC. And RC do not receive any allowance from doing all the works, at all. RC even have to use our money first.

The residents treat us like we are in Angelina Jolie charity level 😏.

To be frank, most RC were employed or work. And those who have their luxury time, do business would rationally tend after their more profitable projects and jobs than to tend after residents by being a RC.
That is why we are unable to attend any personal request from residents immediately. Since RC works in a group. And we need to move together as a team in assisting residents in our residential area.

Therefore. please respect RC as normal human being. RC are not even a Superman. Regardless I prefer to be Hulk 😊.

My late supper with mint drink and maggie

I am feeling hungry around 11.40 pm last night. Since I have supply of fresh mint and a maggie, I decided to make do of them.

Start with mint drink.

Then cook the maggie within 10 minutes using my travel cooker [1].

I know maggie is not good for health. It just that I am craving for it. So, I end up eating it for my late supper. Regardless, I was left full and satisfied. And manage to get a very good sleep when fall asleep around 2 am plus 😂.

Now thinking to eat papaya to detox the last night supper food 😅.

Gemuk the cat burial in FKE today

Gemuk the cat is found dead this evening. Around 5 pm. 

He found dead in the drain near his usual hangout place.

We decided to start his burial immediately around 5.40 pm.

We start digging in area outside of our lab area. But the soil too hard and too many rocks in it. 

Which leads us to the land area down below.

Many thanks for those who involved in the burial process. Also the shovel lend by one of the lecturer here. Without all of you (almost 5 people), this cannot be done within 34 minutes.
